If there is no previous option to vote on stamina, all previous talks about stamina are meaningless.
Stamina today is meaningless. The canteen is meaningless, injury is meaningless. Bandages are meaningless. I can climb mountains at full speed and reach the top of Everest without feeling exhaustion, and when stamina is depletes i can continue to run at a comfortable speed without ever feeling tired.
The canteen is never an item to carry. It serves no purpose because its purpose is never present. Bandages are also meaningless because the healing syringe removes all injury like a xmen’s healing factor. Getting shot in the leg doesn't put you into a limp, nor does falling from 30 feet drops. The healing syringe does it all.
In my opinion, day 0 and already flown a chopper to the first mission. It didnt seem like sentinel had an impact on the island if we can fly wherever the f we wanted, haha.
It's a placebo element when you consider you can carry 300 items in your inventory so if we're arguing realism inventory quantity should surely affect stamina as was the case in Skyrim but we're not talking realism, were talking about a select few who have the opinion that it was a realistic addition that in its current state has ruined their enjoyment of the game. Again, they are welcome to that opinion but have to realize they are such a minority that it's not even been on the radar where survival changes are being considered and that is directly the result of feedback from all of the play testing which is why the sliding change made the FIRST PATCH of the "moving forward" changes.Originally Posted by Swoop_101 Go to original post
You have to keep in mind that Survival changes must include Stamina since stamina plays a key part in each of the survival mechanics. The game was launched in a certain condition, very much tailored for a survival like game - to change it a month later after launch seems pretty unreasonable. You keep saying that such survival mechanics are such a minor request then how did 25% even get a mention? I dont think you are seeing how stamina can affect the game as a whole. Perhaps, I would need to elaborate on it more for you. Stamina is the keystone in all of the survival mechanics. It also affects how frequent a player can travel. If movement speed is too fast, stamina will shorten those fast movements into bursts rather than being full throttle 100% of the time, which is what we see in this current state of PvP. As Ubisoft claims "One of the key elements of our vision for Ghost Recon is to immerse our fans in a gritty and authentic military experience."Originally Posted by TreFacTor Go to original post
Our response as fans (most certainly mine) is to give it back. Stamina boosts ruins everything they have accomplished.
Don't over complicate this. Its not about realism, its about a feature involving a select few of game mechanics that are nearly obsolete due to current patches. These mechanics shouldn't be on the chopping block. When things become minor and forgotten, they get removed. Its business 101. If the water canteen is never used, why keep it? If you only receive injuries from being revived, why even bother having injury? Left 4dead, and all games prior that introduced team revives never needed injury.Originally Posted by TreFacTor Go to original post
I really hope you see how contradicting every mechanic in this game is. Why have jog, when you can sprint 98% of the time? Why have guns that force a player slower than a walk when all the high mobility weapons are the weapons sought ? We might as well suggest to fix problems not by removing them, but by enhancing or balancing them.
If you want to start talking realism, lets see you sprint 1 mile with 60 pounds of gear, haha. Soldiers don't sprint marathons, they jog them.
Inventory weight will always be a fictional element, games exist because of the magic bag of inventory space.
If you don't believe me about companies removing mechanics, look into history. Aliens vs predator removed crouch completely because they felt it was never needed! Evolve removed jogging because sprinting was 99% of the game. Sure i only named 2, but check out tons of youtube videos on removed features.
I've played since day one. October if i recall... I do not play pvp ever so that should be noted. In PVE the stamina gauge made falling down hills endlessly something to deal with....as PVE player....I gotta say keep the changes. especially since the new raid basically auto nukes a player...
I admit this may cause a problem with pvp....but I see no reason the two game modes cant have separate mechanics.... I gotta vote change it.
the falling downhill mechanic was cool at first but now it is just annoying as can be...and for how often we have to back track in a mission i better be able to get there quickly...
Explain to me how important stamina is when magically gear items increase your ability to regenerate stamina (Fyi gear that has stamina buffs come with increased resistance to explosive which logically dictates they should be heavier). When certain classes have increased stamina. Explain to me why you can carry 300 items in your inventory that don't effect your stamina.... I'll wait... Although you can't logically explain it.Originally Posted by GoalLine Go to original post
Admit it's important to you and you can't rightly justify it but it's still important to you.
Now if you want to make a case for a slower run animation I can understand that. You're failing at your insistence for a change in stamina when all of the other contributing factors contradict the need for discussion.
Quite frankly they screwed this game up from top to bottom when all they had to do was import everything from Wildlands to the Aruoua map and everything would be been fine but marketing probably interfered and now we have conflicting elements from various Ubisoft games. These elements are foreign to the series and it was really a bad decision to make this title the test field for their implementation when Wildlands was basically a successful venture into open world Ghost Recon.
Btw, I refuse to include other companies when we're talking about THIS company and THIS game. This is a UBISOFT PRODUCT ADVERTISED AS A GHOST RECON GAME not Pac-Man Vs DigDug. Adding things from outside sources is what has you making this topic in the first place.
I think the point is....that this game clearly had a survival mechanic in mind that was abandoned due to time frames. quit being a pompous jerk dude.
just bc the game has a poor system for inventory doesnt mean good suggestions arent good. bottom line....carrying 300 pieces of gear doesn't affect game play...but stamina bar does. if youre just here to gripe about the game go play some F2P crap instead. you wanna play wildlands...well good news...its still up.
You added nothing to the discussion.Originally Posted by EvilWeezel Go to original post

You're dismissed.
