Considering they both one shotted enemies no matter what the alert status or engaged status in Wildlands and don't do so in Breakpoint it leads me to believe it's just gotten weaker.
If you shoot a chopper(at least the little birds) on the FLIR, its a one shot kills with TAC-50/HTI/M82

G28 all day. Why? Because a headshot is a kill no matter what size of round. G28 for me has better "zoom" then a tac 50 set up. Plus I can get really fast follow ups with hardly any recoil. Unless they changed things since I last played.

I will try them again. Where I experimented with the HTI vs Tac-50 was when I was trying to go for a longest shot test... on a high mountain aiming down at 2 combat drones. That is when I noticed a dip in Tac-50's shot... HTI went straight and longer. Even M82 did pretty well but yeah it has a horrible recoil. Something is a miss because everyone else obviously tried them against each other and TAC came up on top for them...

    Will for sure try again.

    Thanks again!!!
I only tried out to about 400m. It’s very possible that the ballistics at longer ranges might favour the HTI

Range, damage, and ability to fit large magazine seems to make it the best selection. Especially when having to engage helo's or targets behind cover.

Is there some other aspect to the other sniper rifles that I just haven't noticed?
I use the Scorpio scout exclusively. I like its fire rate and dmg. I use it across all areas of play from PvE to PVP. I use to use the Tac50. But I stopped using it even before the nerf.

The Tac50 is too slow. It packs a lot of power but if you have to line up several shots in succession and dont have sync shot, your going to be in trouble. The best use I found for it is for one shotting the smaller drone tanks. If your a sniper using your special technique and aim for the weak spot you can get it in one shot.

Scorpio scout, however that rifle is amazing! It fires so damn fast and it equips the extended mag just like the Tac50. I can clear 5 man camps before they can take cover. The only drawback is that it can't be silenced.
