    Feedback: Raid First Try

So I had a bit of an interesting first run in the raid. If interesting meant annoying that is.

    So here's the story:

Logged in, checked the objectives board, "Oh hey there it is, nice.", [4 Player Required], "Erewhon it is then", [Loading], [4 Player Required], "Ok public matchmaking then", [Connecting], [10 mins later], "4 Men ok let's go", [Vote accepted], [Loading], Boat ride, Hand wall, cutscene, 3 Dead Patrols and Crashed Azrael drone later, Driving, "Oh looks like we're looting then", Driving, "Oh more loot, but where are we supposed to go?", Driving, "Enemy base, probably here", Combat started, "Uhhhh that's ok I guess", 30 dead guys later, "Nothing here but cube icons, ok let's go", Driving, "Hey is that a ditch-", Falling into ravine, Swimming, Car Explodes, 1 Man dead, that Man disconnects, 3 Men stranded in a ditch far far away from any land, "Well luckily I can fast travel", Boat ride, "Oh the river isn't connected", All survivors left.

So here's the moral of the story:

    1) Matchmaking for Raid Button
    2) Directions in Raid required otherwise we're all gonna be waiting for that 1 guy to get all the collectibles
    3) Post raid exploration: Put the collectibles OUTSIDE the raid. (Except some secrets and maybe quest specific knowledge)
    4) A ravine.... really?
    5) I will admit. There might have been some lag. Or my Sniper rifle was actually a railgun.

So never even got to the boss, but can find a lot of problems already.

Also took a look around the other threads before writing this and it's not very promising. At all.

Well keep up the good work I guess. Still rooting for this game. However hopeless it seems.

Oh man wait till you see what the first ****ing boss is... It's not fun I can tell you that... More like... Concentration camp simulator... The second boss even gasses you while you have to do some really dumb puzzles and kill a **** ton of bullet sponge drones... But for the first one it's just stupid! Big open area with no cover, snipers ****ing you in the ***, shotguns ****ing you in the ***, a big *** drone that looks cool but is just horrible to fight, and all that while you have to pass a laser like an STD to your team so you can achieve not dying... Let's just say I don't have the time or friends to put up with this BS! I'm so mad because I was so excited for this raid! It looked cool as hell, the island itself still does but I'll never see even half of it because the raid is so janky...

I loved the game up until that point. Right now I'm done until it pulls a No Man's Sky and reworks itself into a fun experience... I'm just sad and disappointed now...

I enjoyed exploring Sector 1 on Golem Island and working out what to do to advance the raid, but the Titan boss fight just doesn't feel like it belongs in a game like this. It's way too hard and there's just no effective strategy to taking down the Titan. In a game that is supposed to be all about tactics and strategy, this type of boss fight simply doesn't fit the mold.

During my first attempt against the Titan, 2 of our squad had chosen to swap the laser targeting between them, while the 4th player and I attacked the Titan from the rear. The 4th player disconnected and after that I couldn't get behind the Titan because it just kept rolling toward me, while it targeted the other players with the laser. The laser switching players didn't have enough time to attack the Titan, while shooting the endlessly respawning enemies, as I ran for my life in fear of becoming roadkill. The boss fight became a frustrating lesson in futility.

And after we died, we had to hope a 4th player would join our game to try again. But the 3 of us were placed in a solo player's game and we had to start the whole raid from scratch.

I think the raid needs to be tweaked so people of all skill levels can complete it and by extension, actually enjoy playing it. If the minimum gear score to access the raid is 150, then perhaps there should be different difficulty levels to choose from before starting the raid. You would receive lesser rewards for the lower difficulties, but at least you could practice fighting the boss and feel like you've accomplished something.

But as I said before, I don't think this type of boss fight fits this style of game at all. In my opinion, the raid would be better if you had to fight your way through enemies, while avoiding the Titan's attacks, to reach a location where you flip a switch that overloads the Titan's power core, or drops heavy machinery on it to destroy it (at least 3 times of course).

I do hope the raid can be improved to a point where it becomes enjoyable.
