Are you referring to the Daily Challenges? I like the concept, but it can probably be improved for JD 2021.
The other day, one of my challenges was to hit 20 Gold Moves, and at the same time my other challenge was to hit 35 Gold Moves. If two challenges are basically the same except for the quantity needed, maybe there should be a conditional statement in the program so that both of these challenges don't show up at the same time in order to offer a little variety.
Two days in a row, one of my challenges was to dance to I Am The Best Extreme. There are other extremes that I haven't yet attempted. It seems repetitive to keep offering the same one only.
Speaking of variety, for a couple of years these challenges have been pretty much the same. Maybe next year these can be spiced up a bit.
Here are some ideas:
Hit a new Hi Score on 3 dances. (Just a new personal best on a song, not Dancer of the Week.)
Finish 3 dances without any X's or OK's.
Dance to 3 Extremes.
Dance to 6 Alternates.
Hit Perfect on the last move of 3 different dances.
Dance to 6 kids dances.
Dance to a seated dance 3 times.
Dance to 3 Katy Perry songs.
Compete in a Classic Tournament on the World Dance Floor. (If you activate boss battles and other events, you could include challenges for those, too.)
Hit a score of ____ on 3 different dances. The game should look at the person's scores and use that data to set a suitable value for the challenge. It should be reasonable.
It would also be nice to include challenges that help you unlock various rewards. The game could check on your progress or lack thereof, motivate you unlock more rewards this way.
For example, I usually don't do a playlist, but if a challenge asked for a playlist and also mentioned, "This will help you unlock ___ reward," I would realize that I actually need to do that.
Maybe there should also be a reward for completing 100 challenges, as this would also incentive players to complete the challenges.
I wouldn't mind a choice. Like offer me 5 challenges, let me pick 3. Sometimes I turn on the game and I have a plan in mind, and the challenges aren't always thinking along the same lines. For example, a challenge might ask me to go to the WDF, but I was planning on working on a few extremes instead. The more variety there is, the better chance I will find something that will work for me.
Did you finish the challenge? If you partially complete a challenge, it keeps showing up every day for several days until it gets completed.
But if you finish the challenge, get the same challenge the next day, finish that challenge again, get the same challenge again the next day, that would be unnecessarily repetitive. Did that happen?
Today I was challenged to burn 70 kcal in Sweat Mode and also to burn 120 kcal in Sweat Mode. The game really wanted me to use the Sweat Mode.
In 2018, when I only had a few balls left in the gift machine, I got the gift machine challenge, but I didn't even have enough balls in the machine to complete the challenge. They should add a conditional statement to make sure there are enough balls in the machine. (I'm pretty sure this challenge doesn't show when the machine is empty, but it's rather pointless to get the challenge if you only have 3 balls left in the machine.)
