Playing loud - no suppressors - can it be done?

I'm considering trying something new... playing loud - no suppressors. Of course you can still use stealth to the extent you either shoot people from out of hearing range, or use CQC, which I will do. But... without suppressors... Can it be done?

Should I consider allowing myself to use a suppressed pistol at least?

    Thoughts?

I like a change up in a game. As when it goes South. You have to go loud at that point then. I like just firing in the middle and blowing something up and go in after they are all alerted. As they become bullet sponges once they get alerted. It is a new experience for sure. Good luck and have fun.

I can't believe I just learned from that vid that you can turn off the AI teammates and go all Sam Fisher.if you want

About the only few things they are good for is Sync shooting the convoy or getting you up. Other then that you are the baby sitter. As they don't listen to commands very well and do some strange things. Don't forget to cut off radios and chatter in the options as well. A lot more peaceful after that.

LOL thanks I was just wondering about that as they continue to chat in my ear. I have just been going with they are on my comms network.

That is typically all I ever did with them, park them somewhere out of sight so they don't accidentally set things off and use them as overwatch ….sort of. As to convoys, I (once I have that "skill") use an EMP drone on the convoys and shoot the driver myself.. Then the fun starts as the escort piles out and I have to keep an eye if anyone else decided to jump behind the wheel. If it has a helo escort I have often used a drone on it as well once the cooldown expires.

Recently, I’ve been using the AI Team in a rapid assault fashion. If you use the Goto command, they will move and shoot any hostiles in their path without running all over the place like they do if you issue the “Open Fire” command. So what I often do is move into an enemy base pushing the AI team on one side of a path or road, and then I follow in parallel on the other side. This creates a funnel of death and makes enemies choose which group to fire on (you or your AI Team) and can be very effective - and you’re never far from each other. I push them up, advance, shoot, wait a few moments for any rushing enemies, then push them forward again maybe 20-50m and repeat until we are through the base which can be very quick. It’s best to do this without suppressors… Loud and proud.

That's pretty close to how I would use them when I did infiltration. I'd park them outside the base. If I got into a tough spot or blew my cover I give the Open Fire command. They start drawing attention their way, then I drop a Go To somewhere near me or in the direction I'm moving. They'd tear through hole bases on their way to the command point.

As for going loud. I have a friend I play with. They... are... awful at this game. But they love it. Every fight went loud from the beginning. And we made completed Ghost Mode together. So it's definitely doable. I think I would likely use my AI in the same manner I just described. Or if going lone wolf I'd stick with snipers or large mag capacity ARs.

(As a side note: Thank you for making theses posts today. Helps get my spirits back up.)

Yeah seriously. Am so sick of hearing about that raid nonsense. I watched one vid showing how this team quickly beat one of the bosses and all I could do is stare and wonder how UBI thought this was going to be a winner. It is so far removed it isn't even recognizable.
