Last couple days, high latency extreme amounts of packet loss, packet cancellations, rollbacks, teleporting, high latency variation, all while maintaining what normally wouldn't be a bad latency (anywhere from 20-65 while my normal and expected ping is 15-25). Uninstalled and reinstalled for honor, verified game files, updated windows and windows defender, reset port forwarding among other troubleshooting. Spent an hour on the phone with my ISP, comcast xfinity to rule out any issues on my end, and a sample ping trace route to sample for honor servers and their locations yielded me this: https://imgur.com/a/B0KAbeO
All game modes are completely unplayable and this is not the first time there has been server issues. It is solely within the Northeast region, and has also affected for honor games with players from other server areas. Players from europe appear straight out of anime with teleporting and extreme animation skips and rollbacks. I am currently living in NJ, and the other time this happened was with Spectrum in upstate NY, so it is once again not an issue on my end. Fix your servers. There are consistent issues occurring frequently enough that would've been addressed by any other fighting game. Ridiculous.
Hello again PhoenixSOS - I believe I may have recently answered another thread of yours for a similar issue, and if I am correct in thinking this, I do apologise if any information is repeated. I want to make sure it is available in this thread too in case any other players should take a look and be wondering what to do
For connectivity issues such as packet loss / cancellations, high latency and ping, rubberbanding and lag, I'd recommend completing our basic connectivity troubleshooting guides for both Uplay PC and For Honor first of all. The steps in these two guides have been known to resolve many basic / common issues for lots of players - portforwarding in particular.
Having taken a look at the image you provided of your ping to the various datacenters, I would like to ask if you would mind confirming for me which datacenter you typically connect to, as I would hazard a guess from the wording of your post and the image that it is US East? You also mentioned the "Northeast(ern) region" in your title and post - could you confirm for me which states / areas you refer to as part of this? Finally, have there been any network changes on your end that you are aware of, whether that be within your own home (such as new network hardware) or from your ISP?
We'll be more than happy to look into these issues further with you when we have gathered a little more information from yourself, and can understand a little better what we're dealing with.![]()
I spent a day or 2 debating on how I would address the ridiculousness of this reply, from obtuse to sarcastic to sassy or even pissed off. I'll settle for laughing my *** off. Your "reply" would have been better off utilizing a bot standard reply/cookie cutter reply because not only is your reply an indicator you did not read my post, but the questions you ask within your reply have already been answered. As such, I'm just sitting here laughing with the understanding this is why we laugh at ubisoft as a company.
