I'm from the USA. My friend Vakris is from the UK as is Candle. I forget where clutchmeister and Zero Craic are but they also have been having MM issues for the past few seasons.Originally Posted by UbiYubble Go to original post
I also have a friend that's somewhere in Russia and another whose I think in the Islam area or somewhere near there. We all have these long MM ques and often get players who are far below or far above us in regards to account rep.
Xbone Australia. It's not even the amount of players. I remember one particular weekend there were 5 high rep 4 man premades. There was an event ,so a quite a few people were playing and were all talking. There were 2 main party chats, and we were excited to fight each other. For a starters you'll notice it takes a lot longer to find a match when you're in a premade. A lot lot longer.5 minutes is super quick,10-25 is normal(yep,it would time out) As a bonus not once over the next 8 hours did it match any of the premades together. Not once. Instead it spoon fed all 5 of us noobs. For 8 hours (there was only 2 of us at the end of the session,as the others dropped of one by one from boredom) Since that day I have noticed it never pits premades against each other. It actively avoids it. Go figure. I'll repeat what I wrote over 2 and a half years ago. Either hire or reallocate a dev with experience in matchmaking or strip whatever nonsense the current 'devs' have programmed and just have the matchmaking on pure random. Having it random would mathematically mean we would actually have a decent match up every now and then,Instead of a mm system that seems to go out of it's way to match sure the battles are as one sided as possible. As a bonus this would reduce the wait times dramatically,as most of the time you're waiting for the nonsense mm 'to do it's thing'. My rep is 350,meaning I have to wait 2 and half minutes of dead time before the parameters all go to wide. Every time. I look forward to writing the same thing next year. Thanks for ' listening ' Keep up the fanfriggintastic work.
Oh yes, these wait times don't even include all the errors that keep happening. Admittedly it is better than it used to be,but lets face it. The bar was never set to high in the first place. I'd say on my end,I'll get an error 1 in 4 times I look for a match. It's like there is multiple things that can go wrong with each step the mm makes. You've got it walking on a tightrope. I even got the good old 'Can't join because lobby is full' gag today. It made me chuckle. It also made me close it and play another game.
