Now apparently you have a fix for the issue (even though a rollback would have been easier) and yet you now decide to withhold that fix. This is inexcusable.
I am aware that the holiday period is nearly upon us, and that maybe your developers want to have a nice break, but bear in mind that this is exactly the time that people are able to have time off to indulge in their gaming, and for you to effectively deny people to play (to a full extent) software they have paid good money for, can only result in very negative feedback, and a loss of purchases going forward.
The only surprising thing is that if this is the way you treat your customers why do you even bother paying for support staff ?
