Paying for the Faire Tracks - Lost Customer

Ubisoft. You have lost a customer of Trials for life. I dealt with all the bugs, played and gave it up because you gave us those stupid bikes but the ATV was a purchase, I don't even remember the name. Decided to get on after a while to maybe give you one more chance. The new Faire Tracks require acorns. I BOUGHT THE DAMN GOLD EDITION AT LAUNCH. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR TRACKS! I am being serious when I say that I have been playing ever since the RedLynx Java Trials game in around 2002. This franchise is dead to me. The only redeeming quality is Fusion which I will play if I need a Trials fix. But otherwise I am never purchasing another Trials game. Thanks ubisoft.

It never ceases to surprise me how greedy people can be.

"I BOUGHT THE DAMN GOLD EDITION AT LAUNCH. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR TRACKS!"

Let me remind you what the Gold Edition included:

"Extend your tour with the Expansion Pass, featuring two DLCs: Trials Rising Sixty Six and Trials Rising Crash and Sunburn. More than 55 additional tracks!"

We got all that, exactly as promised. Now they are making additional content which was never included with the original purchase, and you expect it for free or you'll have a tantrum! Do you work for free? I doubt it.

You could also just... buy it with your free acorns, like I will.

Just another person that wants EVERYTHING for free, guessing he's never played any other game ever made before.

I will also add that the Track Packs have seperate LBs, which make them a completely optional purchase. And as others have pointed out, the Gold Edition was very up front about what it contained. I think the packs are veruly fun, the Faire one especially. And if you havent done the Extreme.and NJ contracts, theres a ton of acorns there. Anyways, hope you're able to come back at some point

I think there was a little hot and heavy but I really won't be coming back, unless they have a "buy the game once" model. Atleast Fusion was upfront about what DLC would be released. And I have completed all Extreme tracks but am only good enough for silvers on some. I'm sorry, but I am done with games that try to squeeze you for every penny. I am putting my money where my mouth is. It's also the only reason I bought Modern Warfare, no season pass. Last COD I bought was Infinite Warfare but it was really only for MW Remastered. I am old school when it comes to gaming. I come from an era where when you bought the game, you got everything. I was basically done when they charged for the ATV which was the only one that actually made sense, not the front wheel drive bike or the caged bike. Well thanks for listening to me. My opinion still stands. Have a great day.

You're wrong about a couple of things.

Fusion was sold with a season pass which was stated to have 6 expansions. After that, they announced and released the Awesome Max expansion which wasn't included, and it even added MTX. Why would it be included? Why do you expect something for nothing? You paid for 6, you get 6.

Your "old school" comment is moot. Back then you got what you paid for, and if they made a sequel or expansion you didn't get that for free. Same here. You bought a season pass with two expansions and 55+ tracks, and you got that. Why do you expect more for free? Sounds like greed to me, and rather than own up to that you turn around and accuse the company of greed if they work on new stuff then don't give away it for nothing. Do you work for free?

Just an fyi too, "back in the day" games were far less affordable than now, inflation adjusted. SNES games inflation adjusted would be about $110.

And again, plenty of people get this Rising additional content without spending a cent, since it's acorns, which they gave away hundreds of just for playing the game.

absolutely correct, I can not understand it either ... Personally, I'd rather pay for content, imagine how **** it would be if advertising interrupted the game to pay the developers .... if you do not have a problem,
you should definitely switch to the free games ....
have fun with the mix of advertising and games

I will happily pay for the new tracks but two things have to happen that make the process more streamlined.

    1. Remove the need to purchase acorns so that I can purchase the track packs. Intermediary currency is annoying most times.

    2. Please provide a rough estimate of how many track packs are released in a single year and provide the option to purchase all upfront - "Track Mega Pack 1" or something like that.

I love the game but those two issues I have above makes purchasing the pack a slog (Especially with the always reliable Ubsioft servers). I am likely to complete the track pack faster than I can purchase them :P
