The limitations imposed upon players in regards to their active inventory loadout (i.e. grenades, flashbangs, mines etc.) detract from the experience. Perhaps the intention was to encourage players to work as a team and collectively bring items best suited to their role but this has failed. Given that you can change out inventory slots at any time, it serves only as an inconvenience that breaks the flow of gameplay. In solo play, the game even pauses when you open your loadout page, so there's not even any risk when swapping items in the heat of battle.
The existing system has not only proven clunky and obstructive but has also pushed less frequently used items to the sidelines to be forgotten. Having access to all these gadgets at the touch of a button would render the whole experience more dynamic and invite players to be more creative.
P.S. - Breach torches are cool but do they really need to be an equipped inventory item?
The wheel itself and how you have to enter a menu in order to change what's available is trash. There was no reason to change that from Wildlands which while not ideal was far more functional, accessible, and faster. Whoever decided to change it was 100% wrong on that call.Originally Posted by postwick Go to original post
You're right. I've used the individual hotkeys so long I'd forgotten about the wheel. I suppose console players don't really have an alternative do they? There's got to be a better way to cram it all in though. This is just a UI problem.Originally Posted by postwick Go to original post

I like to give solutions to problems and not complaints.
Inventory solution:
The second wheel that they have in the game when you hold the right bumper and press Y on the Xbox controller should be used for inventory instead of the emote actions that no one ever uses. They should also bring back tapping the left d-pad on the Xbox controller to cycle through your inventory and hold the left d-pad to remove silencer from weapons. Both systems can be implemented in the game at the same time for ease of access. Only if Ubisoft could hear us!
Agreed. Very good suggestions.Originally Posted by GHOST_oe Go to original post
