I purchased Far Cry5 in early April 2018. I whacked it on to a fairly hefty rig servicing a 4K 34" screen.
I have now played through the game at least eight times since I bought it, and each time the detailed game play has been subtly different but the game itself just goes on getting better..
Each time I play I see more and more of the detail and the manner in which this vast open world and the characters and animals within it interact with one another, is just simply jaw dropping.
The teams that created such an almost 'perfect' and thoroughly researched replica of the real world, in my view, deserve a medal.
I wonder did they have a geologist on the team as the geomorphology of Hope County really does work.
Even minor inconsistencies such as the fact that it never rains in Hope County or that there are no baby animals are a mere pin ***** when compared to be able to be part of such a complex interactive world.
Quite honestly this game was the best value for money ever.
I wonder how Ubisoft will top this one?
.
Hi crunc01, thank you for responding.100th game? That sounds awesome, you must know every minor variation of the game inside out.
What do you know about Fighters specifically the Long Range Bow variety?
I can spend days finding the right combination if attributes, for example Vulture and Herbalist combined.
Any advice you can give will be appreciated.
Not sure what you've been reading, but pretty sure they didn't actually go to and stay in MT for an entire year, they just went there for a few weeks on a research trip, pretty standard stuff for games like these (they did the same for FC2 and 4). FC5 is alright, but personally I wouldn't put refer to it as the 'most awesome' in any category. For me it's not even the most awesome far cry game...Originally Posted by crunc01 Go to original post
copper head the attributes are given randomly for the fighters.. after you save one you want to try.. make a backup of them before they get the kills... if they don't get what you wanted reload the backup game.. I have mine go and I search out places lots of peggies are for them to get their kills fast.. I let them do all the kills until they get thiers done.
Thank you for your excellent advice crunc01. That's near enough exactly what I have learned to do. A good location to quickly 'blood' a prospective new fighter is Joseph's compound lots of peggie guards You can quickly upgrade a fighter without incurring unnecessary resistance points. I blood them to see what each one can offer and keep going until I have collected a Vulture/Spotter and a Herbalist/Recycler and then I rotate them with Jess. I have a couple of favourite circuits in the Whitetail Mountains where one can be pretty well be guaranteed to pick up a Long Range Fighter (Bow woman) each time around then quickly 'blood' them.
Anyway crunc01 it seems that you have a wealth of knowledge about the game. So any advice you might have will be well received.
Many thanks
Hi HorTys thank you for responding, your opinion is respected.
Until Far Cry 5 came along my favourite was Far Cry 2, I played 3 and 4 and although both were extremely good games I didn't enjoy either of them so much as I did 2 and am doing 5.
So, what is your favourite HorTys, what in your opinion is the most "awesome" game in the franchise?
Regards
Copperhead.
In my opinion FC4 is the best I've played because of it's variation and creativity. FC3 and FC2 I would rank equally but for different reasons. FC2 was rough around the edges but gritty, atmospheric and immersive and the combat was the most challenging. FC3's tropical setting was my favourite plus it was the birthplace of Far Cry varied gameplay. FC5 ebbs and flows with me. I could be enjoying it one minute and finding it lethargic the next.
After a few rounds beating FC 5 you HAVE to get New Dawn.. thats my advice.. hehehe yeh they did ad some screwed up game play but.. it is spectacular aside from the teared weapons crap they added.Originally Posted by c0pper_head Go to original post
