Should be interesting . What I mean are characters that aren't abusing mechanics (stunning tap , Hyper Armor, Bash Spam) . Characters that are being played legit. What's your main and what's your Rep with that main? Should be interesting to see how the Hero's difficulty change based on Rep. So as a Rep 60 Orochi I find by far my two toughest match ups are really good Lawbringers and really good Beserkers. Every duel against a good Lawdaddy is really rough . Seems like you gotta work extra hard to get damage in and they can wreck you if you make a few mistakes. Good Berserker with a good feint game are tough and they can shred you if you make a bad read on a parry. Just curious what you guys think.
True. I actually LOVE Dueling Wardens because they are usually very easy to bait into throwing that forward dash heavy and zone. Those two moves are deflect candy. Also most wardens are super crushing counter hungry so its fun to bait them into light parrys. The bash is pretty nuts but I usually try to just light them out of it if they try to charge it. After they eat a few they quit doing it. The back dodge SB is a pain to deal with as you said. Yeah a good Conq can be be a real pain to , especially if they turtle up . Okay, so since this more about personal experience I'll share my thoughts (not going to talk about all my characters, not necessarily my mains)
1) I'm a rep 70 (+ 7 on pc) Shaman and for me, the toughest matchups are heroes who barely have any gb vulnerability such as Gladiator and Aramusha. It sort of eliminates the softfeint into gb mixup and I have to be extra careful.
2) I'm a rep 24 (+ 6 on pc) Nuxia. The toughest matchups are the characters with easily accessible hyperarmor such as Berserker and Hitokiri. Her traps are already high risk, but hyperarmor basically negates her traps so you have to play her a lot more defensive which is not something she's good at, heck her deflect doesn't even give guaranteed damage and can potentially put you at a disadvantage if blocked or even parried.
3) Rep 5(?) Jormungandr... hands down BP is his complete counter. He cannot punish the bash, at all, unless he reads it. Dodge + gb -> CGB, Dodge + light -> blocked, Dodge + bash -> flipped. -_-
4) Rep 1 (+ 1 on pc) Zhanhu... basically anyone with high parry punishes (LB) and characters with a full block (Warlord, BP)
I play a bunch of other characters, but these were the most obvious counters imo.

I dislike facing the following and sometimes struggle duelling them no matter the hero I plah: LB, Aramusha, Glad and BP

highlander and lawbringer. the only people that seem to use them are for honor gods (parry masters). i have trouble reacting to the highlander's unblockable kicks and swings. once that character gets any kind of momentum on me thats my game. its even more deflating when he hits the superior block. lawbringers just do way too much damage on their parry punishes

Centurion was my old main at 10 reps total between console and pc. For him it was difficult fighting Shinobi and conq. Shin because Centurion lacks the range to really punish shinobi who's dodging around near him. conq because my variable timed heavies did nothing to his superior defense and Centurion has never had an answer to bash based offense.
BP is my proclaimed new main sitting at 8-10 reps total between console and pc. Jorge is my bane in this match up despite it being completely in BP's favor. There are just some things with BP that I haven't fully utilized yet for muscle memory and that just happens to screw with me the most when fighting Jorge.
Warden is my pocket hero with around 6-8 total reps between console and pc. I struggle against LB the most here. A good LB can parry anything I throw which forces my into only bash. And there are still tactics about the bash based offense that I have yet to get a good hold of such as fully delayed level 2's, dodging back on indicator consistently, feinting a bash into another bash, and most importantly learning the distance each bash takes me as spacing is super important for warden.
I have a decent amount of experience on a lot of other heros but none enough to where I could consider myself decent enough to consider them anything close to a main for me. But a hero that gives me difficulty regardless of who i'm playing is raider. He is the evolution of what my old struggle used to be which is Valk. Back before I had a monitor and far before I moved to pc I could not consistently block or parry light spamming valks (pre rework btw) but upgrading to a monitor changed that. With raider there are days where I can react parry storming tap easily and there are days where i'm being stupid and trying to react parry anything he throws that's not a heavy. I don't think Raider is a difficult hero to contend with. I just haven't killed some bad habits off yet nor have I put in serious time to learn the match up in a general sense.
Pk rep 13 vs conq bad matchup. Every time i try to hit him i get the hit back no bash or unblockable to bait him. If i turtle he bash me and is hard to dodge due to distance thanks to her poor range.
Also characters like her that use lights to fight gets more punish on parry and assasins dont have health to deal with that. Lb is OP but i hate fighting him with nuxia for real. She hits fast because she needs those 3 hits to make some dmg. Lb has too much health pool the HA that will turn some hits on even less dmg and he has 1/3 chance to stop the combo thanks to the standard guard. If you go with heavy he will parry and punish if you set the trap you eat the heavy that was supposed to be a parry and with her health you cant make any mistakes. Some top light from the Lb and 2 3 hits more and you are dead. Also those characters that use dodge attack but they can be gb bf the hit unlike orochi dodge attack plus the reflex guard are trash in duel. I use valkyre now because shes way better. More tools no reflex guard and still have a good deflect. Nerf Lb dmg a bit like raider and warden top heavy please. Thoughts on this.
