    Optimization improvements

Hey. Were there any significant optimization improvements since release? I kinda like this game, but don't like playing with 25-30 fps (minimal settings) and shutters every 15 minutes.
Also, what's an actual minimum system requirements for this game? Cuz i'm somewhere in-between minimum and recommended (closer to recommended) that are stated in the store, and those requiremends doesn't seem entirely correct, if i may say so.
    Thanks!

You can find details on the system requirements here.
It also lists the minimum requirements that I am happy to paste below for you:

    Minimum requirements - 1080p (30 FPS)

    OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
Processor: AMD FX 6350, Intel i5-2500K (MORE DETAILS BELOW) (SSE 4.2 and AVX support required)
Video: AMD R9 280X or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (3GB VRAM with Shader Model 5.0 or better) (MORE DETAILS BELOW)
    Memory: 8GB RAM
DirectX: DirectX 11 or DirectX 12
Hard Drive: Up to 50 GB.
Internet: A permanent internet connection is required in order to download and play the game
Multiplayer: Broadband connection with 512 kps upstream

If you are experiencing some performance issues that is severely affecting your game play, you can always get in touch with our support team who will be happy to have a closer look for you.

Thanks, Ubi-Lucipus. These are the same requirements as ones that are listed in the store. You didn't answer to my first question though.
I assume, you guys are certain that the game is in perfect condition (performance-wise, at least) and not going to work on any improvements in terms of performance. Am I correct?

Please, don't get me wrong. I do not demand you to "FIX UR GAEM IMMEDIATELLY", and i'm going to upgrade my PC sometime next year. So all i want to know, does it make sense for me to install the game once more before the upgrade.

FWIW, nvidia have released driver updates that claimed TD2 performance and DX12 stability improvements. However, I doubt that things will have improved much if you were getting 25-30 FPS previously.

There have been performance optimizations along the way. I have a player in the house running on an AMD FX-8350 and a GTX-1050 and it is more than playable. It is a heck of a lot smoother than when I tried it on a GTX-1050 at early on at launch.

But it is unreasonable to expect smooth performance on anything less. That is where I would put the "real" minimum requirements.

The storage level is often where hiccups come from. Not able to load textures from disk fast enough. Check disk queue length while playing, and if it is consistently over (or very near) 1 then it is a storage bottleneck.

For those that cannot upgrade hardware, streaming the game from geforce now or stadia might be good alternatives to feeding the gaming rig with hardware.
