Error when i start For Honor (Need Help)

untrusted system file (C:\windows\system32\uxtheme.dll) and unable to detect uplay for honor installation.. I have the game on steam and already checked the integrity of the game files and system, what do I do?

    Hey, Wolf_9311!

That is a rather strange error that you are getting, could you try reinstalling the game on the same drive as Uplay and Steam. It seems like the files are corrupt and if the integrity check is not picking anything up it is best to reinstall the game.

Please let us know how you get on. Thanks!

    Same error.

Stangely enough I started receiving the same error around three weeks ago also. Furthermore I can no longer play Gost Recon Wildlands either, which is also an easy anti cheat game. All of my other games, including uplay based ones, still work fine.

    Hey guys,

Please run through the "Untrusted system file" section of this FAQ, it should sort the issue out for you.

    No Joy.

I have tried all of the fixes mentioned, plus evreything from every other forum without success. One minute evrything worked fine and then it didn't. I can only assume that either Ubisoft, Easy Anti Cheat, or Microsoft updated something that caused a conflict. PC gaming can be such a headache.

Thanks for getting back to us and sorry to hear the troubleshooting did not work.

Can you please create a case on the support website so we can look into this for you?

    Problem fixed

I opened a case and was informed that Ubisoft were aware of the situation and were working on a solution. The same day Microsoft released an update for Windows 10. Following this the games have now started working again. I don't know if the Microsoft update resolved the problem or if Ubisoft worked some magic behind the scenes. Either way I can access my games again.

    Thanks
