It seems that since I have returned to the game (a week ago), the game is only putting me against people that are Gods.
I mean, i’m against people that seems to come from competitive tournaments or something. They parry all my starters attacks and made the game impossible for me (because of me, i’m not good enough, not the game itself).
Before it was ok, I played with people of my level and had fun. But why is that happening? It has been a whole week being a nightmare.
It’s because they are only left the proplayers in the game? And the people of normal level are no more?
Or just that the matchmaking is messed up making teams?
Thank you very much!
P.S: I only play as orochi and the big problem is that I cannot even star a fast attack as it get parried always (when I say always... means always)
So at first: If they parry your lights everytime mix it up with some heavies. Parry hungry people are punished very easily.
To the matchmaking: You are right, plenty of people that are left are already pretty deep into the game and it's mechanics. So it's either half an hour until you find a game or a few minutes and getting smacked into the ground.
I would actually suggest to go into training mode with a level 2 bot. If you wanna go hardcore you can try level 3 but they are pretty cheap and dirty. You can almost not beat them unless you abuse their weaknesses.
You might be more lucky in duels but I know this game is hard for newcomers and that's why it struggles to get new people into the game.
I was about to post that... I discover the problem is my main, not me (even if I see they are better players) as in duel I can win.
Orochi seems to be inviable in the actual game for gamemodes with more than 2 players. I just feed revenge and make lose my team.
For me is just impossible to avoid all of the unblockables and bashes.. I'm just to old to react so I think I'm lno longer maid for this game XD
Maybe I should just use other character, one os these new that you only have to bashe until you win or push 2 or 3 bottons![]()
I have an easy time against the other assassins (except berserker) and some others, so I assume that they are not very good either...
Something I notice was that all attacks that need to make a backdodge seems to not be working;
riptide strike is slow enought to get blocked even if you dodge the first attack but also seems to be affected by the bashes (gladiators or conqueror for exaple).
Also storm rush is unviable because you get hit by the attack you are trying to dodge if they have a long weapon (the new character, kensei, highlander, etc)
I saw they changed the distance of back dodges, it is possible that it also affected orochi's back attacks? It is possible that I lost touch with the game timings, but it feels odd.

NEVER NEVER NEVER use any of those dodge attacks from Neutral . Those moves are the easiest lights to Parry in the game. The cool thing with playing Orochi at high levels are the mind games and baiting the opponents into throwing attacks you can deflect and parry easily. This is in duels, in 4's he's almost useless. I you want to play him effectively in 4's then just use him to take out other players in 1v1s or sometimes 2v1's. He's useless when ganking or Anti-Ganking . Just throwing lights in a gank will feed revenge. One positive thing is this new rework that increased his running speed and the range on the unlock attack makes him a great "chase down" character if someone is low health and runs away . That unlock attack has Insane range now . If you play Orochi in 4's you gotta play smart. You can't run into ganks because you will get Destroyed . Pick your battles and use his speed to take points .
