This worked for me also and stopped the game from closing most of my other programs running.

What the "fix" does is add a launch argument to the command line for the game.

Open Uplay, go to games and find Breakpoint. Use the down facing arrow on the game icon and pick "View game details."

Scroll down to Properties then scroll down to "Game launch arguments" and click edit.

Type in the line from Kadajo's post. GRB.exe /belaunch -be then click save.

Run the game and when you quit the game check to see if your programs are still closed.


Before making this change exiting the game closed my Xonar audio center, Corsair link, Corsair Utility engine, Uplay itself, Razer Synapse, MSI Afterburner, Nvidia control panel and Hue programs. After adding the posted argument everything stays up and running like before the latest patch of Breakpoint.

Same here. After the latest patch my programs are getting closed again.

Same here. The argument line command no longer works. So now I have to choose whether to fry my rig in order to play, or just accept that I wasted over 200 hours in a game which from what I can tell will be riddled with bugs and PC damaging errors in perpetuity.

You have HARDCORE fans Ubisoft. Folks that against all odds, stayed by your side and now cannot play the game. Can SOMEONE from Ubisoft please reply to this thread?

The error is simple: Upon launching the game BattleEye shuts down major programs which are necessary for proper cooling and stability of the the PC.

Such Programa are:
ASUS Software
Logitech Software
EVGA Software
MSI Software
DTS Software
Host Process for Windows Tasks (Critical)
Intel Local Management (Critical)
System Guard Runtime (Critical)
Windows Security (Critical)

No other game in my Library, including Ubisoft games, are producing these errors and shutdowns.

Wow - sounds like battleye is acting more like malware.

I suppose next they will be hovering up all of you personal data that they can find and forwarding to ubi so they can sell it on.

MSI afterburner closed after game start...and game crash after 10 -15 min...even with msi afterburner closed still crash...no riva statistics installed...
