    Question regarding SPPD rules, reports and punishments

    So today we had one player in come into our team, who targeted one of our specific players, asking them to go to their team. Personally I see this as totally unacceptable behaviour, and as such I (and I believe some of my team mates) have reported these messages in game.

    What I'd like to ask is:
    1.) Is advertising for members to join one team directly in another team against the rules in SPPD?
    2.) If it is against the rules, how can we expect this person to be punished for doing this?

    Can provide screenshots if required, but not attaching them directly to post as I'm not going to use the forum for naming and shaming.

    How can this be considered against the rules? The game doesn't provide any in game mechanism to message players directly. So teams that are actively recruiting have no choice but to go in to other teams to initiate contact. I know it sucks. I personally dislike it when this happens in my team and we deal with it accordingly when it happens cause that's how tune game is. It would be great if we could message players directly from other teams but i think implementing this would slow down the game

    Hello there!

    It is against the rules to crash other teams in order to promote your own and reporting those messages will bring them to our team's attention. From there the appropriate actions will be taken based on the player's record. Thanks so much for using our report system, we really appreciate it!

    Ubi-Toller, thanks for explaining that this is against the rules but i can't seem to find this mentioned anywhere in the terms of use or FAQ. Where can i find these rules so that i can quote them the next time this happens?

    And if this is a rule, can you also explain how teams are supposed to be able find and recruit players within the game to join their team? Thanks

    The first part needs to be answered by Red Lynx, but I can answer the second part as we've been doing this for ages:

    * Recruitment Forum: https://forums.ubisoft.com/forumdisp...am-Recruitment
    * Official Discord Server
    * Unofficial Discord Server
    * Reddit
    * Facebook

    There are likely others but those are the avenues we use.

    I'm aware of these places outside the game where you can advertise and promote your team but i consider these to be passive recruitment tools. They are passive cause they require a player to go outside the game and do the searches themselves to find a team. Not all players know about these options so the only way for them to search for a new team is to leave their current team and search for available teams through the game.

    I'm talking more about active recruiting where leaders and co-leaders can send an invitation to players to join their team. This invitation could be edited to include a link to these outside sources to get more information about the team sending the invitation. In the same respect, players looking for a new team should be able to search for a team without leaving their current team.

    Well, I certainly don't agree that invites should be possible to send to anybody you like in game - For a start there are whale teams with like xx amount of baby teams who will then be stealing members when they already have like 250+ people, from small-medium teams who have less than 50. It's just helping to feed the greed.

    I do however agree that players should be able to search new teams without leaving their current teams, that is completely fair.

    I understand your concern about invites. I also don't want teams to start mass invites but if they were somehow regulated with limits it could work well. As an idea, teams can only send out invites for the amount of spots available. So if your team is at 47/50 then you can send out max 3 invites, each invite would expire after let's say 5 days and only then can you send out another invite. Leaders and co-leaders could also be limited to sending out 1 invite every 5 days. What do you think?

    I know this is going a bit off topic now. @Ubi-Toller i would still like to know where these rules you mentioned can be found. Thanks

    @Ubi-Toller... I have been waiting 1 week to hear your reply. Since you cannot provide a link and quote from the Terms of Use or FAQ for the rules you mentioned then I guess we can presume these rules don't exist. Thanks

    They’re not in the rules. It would be one thing if you joined a team and started using inflammatory words towards them or spamming them, but there’s nothing wrong with trying to recruit certain players or even combining teams. There’s a lot of dying teams out there that want to stick together, but need to join another team to survive. It also adds a whole new dynamic to game. Those that don’t like it are usually the beta male types that can’t hold a team together anyway. They could also fix by simply adding in game messaging.
