    Climbing / Sliding down ladders

Climbing and Sliding down ladders in this game is very labour intensive (as much as it can be described as such, having to move ones thumbs around on the controller). Is there no way in the game engine to have it auto-detect a ladder and eliminate the need to press X to initiate a ladder climb/decent? This issue is not the end of the world, but it is annoying, and I hope I don't sound like I'm nit-picking, but other games seem to be able to pull this off no problem. Would be nice to have this aspect of the game engine changed. OR - if nothing else, at least make the character/avatar automatically slide down the ladder once the ladder decent is initiated by the player. Getting shot at going down a ladder is a pain. Thanks.

No it's bad. I want to control my character completely, not that scripts do it for me. If you do not like the character control on the gamepad, maybe you should move to the keyboard. I understand you were just joking

Automatically grabbing onto ladders would be more frustrating than having button prompts, in my opinion. When you're in an enemy base and are trying to retreat from a gunfight, you would need to run out in the open to remove any possibilty of getting stuck on a ladder.

However, having your character automatically slide down a ladder just by pressing down on the left stick is a cool idea. Seriously, who wants to climb down ladders, when you can slide down like a boss?

The sliding speed could also do with a buff. It's only marginally faster than climbing down. Div 2 got the sliding perfect.

Agreed the ladders need to be more fluid both transitioning and climbing up and down, of all the things this annoys me the most.
