Gun Jamming Feature Please
I think Ghost Recon Breakpoint could have a realistic gun jamming feature and it would work amazingly with the dirt animations in the guns and players. I'm not a gun enthusiast! Gun enthusiasts please add your two cents of this could work, I have a general idea, but it would be an immersive new feature I think Ubisoft can add.
First off:
a. They should add a gun unjamming and jamming animation
b. All guns should have realistic jamming percentages depending on their real life counter parts(Guns with lower damage should have higher durability rate to add balancing).
c. Guns should have filth meter dictating it's percentage to jam, with dirt cumulating in it's moving parts.
d. Gun Jam should be combatted by cocking the gun to help another round enter the chamber(Short term fix), mediocrely cleaning chamber or gun on the fly (Medium fix), Bivouacs should be the only place to restore the gun to new with gun cleaning animation(Long Term Fix).
e. The more filth accumulates on the guns the more rebuffs the guns have, including poor fire rate, damage and even less round shot after unjamming the gun through the short term fix.
f. Certain scenarios/actions should have a higher percentage create gun jam including: Prone crawl, Run and Prone, Rolling, Rolling, Sliding, Explosions, Gun usage and constant reloading.
g. Enemy AI guns should jam as well creating a charming comedic relief during a firefight.
These features would be extremely beneficial to the game as it adds an interesting dynamic of player cause and effect that reflects on the players tactics in when fighting in a diverse environment. This punishing system not only adds a tactical element, but also a new realistic dynamic gunplay that will make any firefight intense if the player fails to keep their gun clean. I am a firm believer that Ghost Recon Breakpoint should be hard, unforgiving and tactical in every way possible. The player should feel like every action has consequence, after 150 hours played I can say the game is too damn easy and repetitive right now.
PS: If you like the post please help it get attention: like reply and share your own ideas. Even if you don't reply, I would love to get know what the players want from the game.
