I have 100% renovated Rome and have received the Auditore Cape. I have equipped it along with the Armor of Brutus. Can someone tell me what wearing the Auditore Cape does for me in game? I read in a guide that it makes me permanently Incognito which would be useful when going after feathers and Borgia Flags. Guards still are alerted to me on roof tops and will still attack. Am I doing something wrong or will they still get alerted when I'm on the roof tops?

You never gain noteriety while wearing the Auditore cape. So if you kill a Borgia messenger for instance you will not become notorious.

Guards will react to you in out of the norm places as usual but you will never have to rip down another wanted poster.

I think they mean Your noteriaty won't increase.

Roofs, roovs, rooves? are restricted areas and as such noteriaty has no effect.

If/when I acquire the Borgia Cape, do the guards then leave you alone or is it similar to the Auditore?

The Borgia cape is aquired by collecting all 101 Borgia flags. The Borgia Cape and Auditore cape do the same thing the lock your noteriety at 0%.

They should have made it so the Borgia cape makes you incognito and the Auditore cape makes you notorious
