So currently, as a team of 4 playing nightly, we have become frustrated that the other modes are so bereft of player base.

My team, my discord of players, almost to a man, think deathmatch play is probably the best mode in the game, followed by Breach, and yet; we are relegated to only playing dominion night after night because the population sees, matches per hour, and exp/armor drops as the payout for match to match.

I would like to recommend/suggest an overhaul to the item drop system that will help create a better dispersion of player base, keep the game feeling fresh, and in turn increase positive feedback and player diversity.

Currently each season, we get one update to armor per hero. I would increase this to two. In here is how. At the beginning of each year, in time for the season pass, you will release the new armors for each hero.
However, you will also each year begin to release a new set of "special armors" per hero, in July/August. The armor is RNG drop only, and is only dropped from specific combat types, and ONLY DROPS for the hero that is played during that type of match.
It drops randomly while playing. So as not to make getting the armor easy; and forcing players to continue to play the types of matches to complete the sets.

Each set will give specific and unique perks if all of the pieces of the outfit are equipped. Those pieces being focused on the type of match that armor set comes from.

The sets, off the top of my head, could be named:

Duels: The Duelists Set
Deathmatch Skirmish: The Skirmishers Set
Deathmatch Elimination: The Eliminator Set
Dominion: The Dominators Set
Breach: The Mercenary's Set
Brawl: The Brawlers Set
Tribute: The Favor of the Gods Set

In this way, players would gain more variations in armor looks to apply, and they will gain sets that they can keep to use in any mode, but are specifically more enhancing in specific modes of play; which will give us a real reason to use the "Multiple Equipping" armor customization in our inventory screen.

Since players will be seeking out those different looks, thy will be playing those different modes and disperse the population away from only dominion, and into the other areas of play. Since they will play those other modes and have experiences in those other modes; once they earn those sets, they are more likely to return to show off, and continue fighting in the gear they earned with those small bonuses applied through the gear perks.

Currently the game is fun, but often bland in many areas. So much effort goes into creating, a breach map, or maps for other modes... but on any given night, every mode is "light population" and times out when queued... except dominion.

I think this is a very good idea and way to implement a change in the attitude of the population, and get players old and new to realize the diversity of the game, and promote some modes that are honestly more fun and more rewarding skill-wise, than dominion.
