His kick needs to always guarantee the forward dodge heavy so its an actual mixup, and so that he has a bit more variation in attacks other than heavy>light. Dodge recoveries on finishers would be nice. Getting HA at 300ms rather than 500ms on his forward dodge heavy would allow him to trade with dodge attacks when using Palm Strike and get into his mixup against assassins. Making the chain palm strike 500ms instead of 600ms would make it usable and incentivize his opener dodge recoveries to catch people trying to prediction dodge. Allowing him to use his dodge light from 100-400ms instead of 100-300ms would be nice to give the attack more iframes.

    PS= Palm Strike, L=Light, H=Heavy, K=Kick, FDH=Forward Dodge Heavy, DL=Dodge light >/=Soft Feint Into

His now useful chains would be:
    H>L
    H>K>FDH
    H>K>/DL
    FDH>L
    FDH>K>FDH
    FDH>K>/DL
    L>L
    L>PS>L
    L>DL
    DL>L
    DL>PS>L
    PS>L
    PS>FDH

To be honest, I wish all heroes had a similar mixup philosophy to either Sun Da or BP(Shaman comes close). I think the game should be more mixup intensive to deepen the skill curve and make fights more interesting. I think Warlord is on his way but the improvements are incremental.

Tianda is very viable in duel. Very. Its not just the speed, its the fast kick beats intelligent play out (kicks into the mixup = win) & intelligent moves are required to get tiandi out of his mix-up (the one they spam). The zone just gets sprinkled in to keep you watching for yet another thing.

Orochi no bash, harder access to undodgeable attacks (easier to read)
Nuxia.. traps... they dont work. Walking backwards can sometimes even keep you safe haha, and her deflect janky as all heck. That heavy damage though on a misread from them... ouch (heavy finish into wallsplat into heavy = wham)
JJ is still powerful, just more about grinding your opponent down now that 3 hitting (great nerf to JJ, needed it but not so hard the character still has good balance)

Tiandi has an answer for everything except pressure options.

Like you said, tiandi is stronger in defence. He can waste alot of stamina for small damage, disengage, and wait. Rinse repeat. If they come at you, you have the tools.

You can actually get a heavy off a kick. Unless your miles away. Which is very adjustable regarding Tiandi’s positioning options.

They can when you realise how powerful said mixup/tools are

No offense but i'm talking from experience not from sad times losing to one... if you think tiandi is c tier you can't play tiandi and havent vs'd a good one.

It does though, they need to know what they are doing for the kit to function. If not its a floating GB
