I thought I would at least provide a little feedback to RL as to why. I was a pretty consistent Top 500-1000 player. I didn't derank. I wasn't a whale but I had put about $20 into the game over its lifespan, mostly because I thought it was worth supporting something I'd gotten so much enjoyment out of.

In the last month the game had gotten completely unenjoyable, though. The #1 culprit is connection issues, by a mile. The "200" errors are absolutely infuriating and unacceptable. I got a "200" error that cost me five energy when I was sitting at 7900 elo and shooting for 8000, on a good run. The error cost me the match and I never got that close again. The other common error -- whether it's server side or local -- is casting units that never walk or attack, they just freeze in place.

There are other issues that make the game less fun -- the ongoing litany of bugs (affecting me personally, Dougie going from a run to a walk at random, which has been an issue that's gone unfixed for 3+ seasons now, and now Pope resurrecting units at base stats instead of max). And of course, the P2W cancer players (people with Level 5 Superhero legendaries, seriously?). But the P2W folks are how RL makes the game free for the rest of us, so I don't expect those to change, and bugs are just bugs, they always will be.

I hope some of this stuff gets fixed. I miss my clan and felt bad for leaving them. But the game had become an unplayable disaster where almost all of my losses were completely unavoidable. That's not fun.
