I'm not speaking for others here. I'm not saying you should remove any of these things. I'm simply saying that for me, Hyper Armor and DLC characters ruin this game for me.

Just for backround (If it even matters with this community, as I don't interact with any of the community. Don't plan to either.); I played Closed Beta. Loved the game. I thought it was so unique on how you could interrupt unsafe extentions with a quick Light attack. Learning how things were unsafe, and feinting to get swift parries to condition your opponents was an amazing feeling. This also made tournament play so enthralling to watch and participate in; Every tournament, you learned so much early on. Of course, exploits ruined this feeling. But just to have the point come across, this game- for me- had so much potential to keep me fully invested for a long time.

Played all through release and Vannila. But the second Season 2 released, I saw how overpowered (at least at the time) the two DLC Characters were- Centurion and Shinobi- I immediately knew how this game would turn out; DLC Characters ruling this game due to powercreep and awkward designs, fully seperated from the original cast. And I couldn't have been more correct.

I uninstalled the game back then. Periodically, I try to come back. How much I'd love to have this game in a state that I could relax and fully enjoy the learning and competitive experience for this game.

Yet, every time I do choose to come back, I notice furthermore how powercreeped this title has become; Uncharged Bashes Guaranteeing Heavy Attacks. Hyper Armor forcing people to sit there an wait for animations to be over, instead of attacking to punish for throwing out slow options without mix-up in mind. Mechanics with Characters that serve absolutely no purpose but to slow gameplay down for no justifiable reason. etc.

I fully understand that your vision for the game, is far from mine. My vision for the game was a fast-paced, counter and read-based fighter.

Now, for me, it only condenses to abusing cheap methods and mechanics to momentum your way through everything with little- to no thought at all.

-- I'm not someone arguing against fast Lights. I like them. And I'm a 30FPS pleb on Ps4. But I always question; Why do these 300-500ms attacks need Hyper Armor? They don't need them. They're just there to be there; To rid of people who want the game to be mind games and counter-based.

I'm not saying that I can't find these engagements anymore. I still can. For example, Warden Mirror Matches; Quickly interrupting Bash Charges with Light Attacks- or feinting a Bash immediately to quickly Parry said Light, or even Crushing Counter it. But those situations are beyond extremely limited. By the time I actually get a chance at them, everything else surrounding the game has taken motivation away. Atleast that's how it is for me. And why this game honestly isn't worth it to me

The game for me isn't enjoyable anymore. Hasn't been for a long time. Only reason I'm here is to voice that the idea of this game was truly something mesmerizing to me. The idea alone is evidently enough for me to want to come back to this game. It's only the direction the game took that keeps me away.
