The character is supposed to be a trained soldier?

He acts like a clown. When being targeted you can't even stand up and run away it takes like 5 seconds by that time you already dead.

I could stand up faster or do some kind of roll movement to avoid getting shot.

I'm not a soldier so why can't a character that supposedly have military training can't?
