Why is it always 'the next game'? Why not THIS one? Why not fix THIS one and the previous ones to make them timeless classics that get played for years and years beyond their age, make them the same nostalgia that is Everquest 1 and 2....EQ1, like literally 20 years later and still going.
Devs and publishers should go back to creating good games that make them millions, not trying to make the millions by shoving out ********...no one wants to play with a pile of ****, we want to play incredible games.
No online connection required. No looter shooter mechanics. An ability to disable the auto-cover mechanics. An ability to switch shoulders by button push. Leaning by command function. Ability to dial in profile, a la ArmA 3:tip-toe standing, standing, slightly standing, crouching, low crouch, sitting, high-prone, prone, low prone. I don't care if this isn't functional for console players, give PC the players the option. Servers/modes where 1st person view is locked in PVP, avoid 3rd person corner camera cheesing.
...but if I had to narrow down my choices...NO CONSTANT ONLINE CONNECTION REQUIRED! AN ENGAGING AND FLESHED OUT SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN WITH SEQUENTIAL MISSIONS!
While I want this game to be supported for awhile.
Some stuff I'd like to see is the following:
Story/Setting: The game is more based on destabilizing a enemy group/affiliation in a specific area like Wildlands (Corrupt Government and an enemy faction like Bodark from Future Soldier. No stupid cartel).
I want a Red Faction: Guerilla like activities that bring out emergent gameplay.
I want the mission structure to be more reminiscent of the game Outer Wilds with Player Choice on how to advance the story.
Blending Mechanic from Assassin's Creed. In short, I want to hide among civilians and use guerilla tactics.
Make drones an equipable item not a standard item.
Add the Injury System and make it have a more present effect
Instead of Nomad as a protagonist. Let us have a protagonist more similar to the one in Narco Road DLC (More Self-Insert, Less Defined).
Discard the Level up system and upgrades.
Weapons and Equipment will come from Black Market Vendors in the game.
UAV/Chopper Patrols more difficult to hide from.
More Urban Environments (GR:FS Moscow or GRAW 2's City Environments).
If A.I companions are included, I want a command system that does more than follow, attack, goto position, and hold.
Sync Shot usage toned down.
No disappearing bodies.
PvP on release
End-Game Content
Class System that can't be changed mid-game with unique equipment.
Character Customization and Gunsmith added onto
Leave the story open for End-Game content.
No collecting weapon crate system.
Add Durability to Weapons that must be repaired at Safe Houses or Bivouacs.
In short, not Wildlands 2.
I want a return to what made Wildlands so great... something realistic and immersive with a long interesting campaign free of this stupid loot shooter mechanics.
A war torn, oppressed setting (could be based on the real world or made up but inspired by something in our real world)... some rogue nation run by a ruthless dictator who’s dealing in arms, drugs, piracy, kidnapping, genocide, you name it.
With a focus on realistic ballistics, an expansive gunsmith, and extensive character customization options.
1. A real world setting. Even though Auroa looks nice and fits into the story narrative I would like Ghost Recon to be set in a country that already exists.
Exploring Bolivia in Wildlands, exploring ancient Egypt in Assassin's Creed were great experiences.
Experiences that take you to another world.
Using real world settings gives the game an extra layer of depth as the local culture, music and people give the game a lot more depth and helps make the game more immersive.
2. I would like them to ditch this old game engine.
Time to invest in a modern engine that supports ray tracing.
3. For the PvP, they need to use a state of the art PvP engine as well. Something that Battlefield or Call of Duty uses.
The PvP in wildlands and breakpoint are a disgrace to gaming.
