Gas tanks need to explode! | Forums

I get there is a lot of electric car vehicles being used in the game, but there are a few Gas tanks around, and despite shooting them or throwing grenades or using rocket launchers on them, the best you can do is make them spray fire for about 3 seconds. These really need to go bang like they did in wildlands.. Missing the explosions!

I already uninstalled so I cannot check, but I think I got a couple of them to explode with rockets or C4. Not with rifles though...

I might be wrong...

I've blown too many cars to count, even though that it isn't realistic (you need the right mix of fuel air mix to get it to go boom) with shooting through the engine block.
Its possible you are not using the right caliber or too low level gear?

I think OP means the big white fuel tanks in bases. Yes, this is a downgrade from Wildlands that makes no sense at all. Used to love shooting those tanks when ghosting went sideways. Now they just spit a teasing flame and nothing.

Very little blows up compared to WL, also lights and windows

But then again, the electric cars and motorcycles do explode after being hit a couple of times. I understand IRL an electric car can catch fire, but never that it explodes so violently.
Don't drive an electric motor aside from on the road, as it hits the ground & rocks three times and explodes. Big hazard!

In deed, it is true. I shot a refueling tank at a drone station, saw the flames, thought "cool", and three seconds later nothing and flames gone. Maybe it was coated with some kind of Billy Mays stuff (RIP Billy).

See I think all this matters so much and they completely glossed over it. Thanks for sharing the pics and I hope all this gets put back in the game.

Persistent destructable (ala the Frostbite Engines) terrain would be awesome too!
