Hello ,

I've been playing 50 plus hours of break-point , and I've hit the perverbial wall of frustration when it comes to the crafting system as it relates to weapons and clothing. Don't get me wrong this game is fun to play and a step in the right direction, however I think the devs need to look at revamping crafting. Firstly , the idea that I have to go a shop for everytime I want to get a higher grade gun to match my level and spend 800 credits each time and hope my blue print drops an epic or above,
since its random , blows my mind. It would serve everyone better if we had a crafting station , similar to the division 2 where we could create the items at the crafting station and tie in the perk armory upgrade that would actually decrease the amount of items needed to craft items and eliminate the need for credits in the process , since we salvage so much weapons and gear when exploring plus the 80 percent increase in item drops from drones all helps with this process. Additionally , the armory upgrade perk would seek to seperate each grade of weapon - uncommon / common / rare / epic/ legendary - and show the required items to craft said weapons and gear. Naturally, the rarer the weapons and gear the more items you would need. Additionally anything above purple quality would require a specific item that drops from either a behemoth , or drones in specific locations. You can add tool tips that can assist players with finding them. Next , with weapon grades anything , above purple should have their weapon stats increased as well in addition to the 2 buffed stats we already get. Just seems logical, the rarer the weapon or armor the higher the stats since better quality material goes into making them. You can add a fourth bonus level to the weapon upgrade section that would allow for this and it would be a guaranteed elite drop or legendary , and the parts would be rare and hard to find. This of course brings balance since you can't make it too easy. You may also need to look at recalibration as a compliment to this , the randomness of stats on gear can be a bit frustrating when you are looking for a specific stat type, i.e - injury resistance / damage combo - as an example. Players should have control of what stats they want to place on their gear/weapons. The system is already in place with stats that only appear on certain weapon types , I.e drone damage, mobility - just need to fine tune it. Off course , I'm borrowing this from division 2 , but the core idea of recalibration is a good one , it's just that you have not suck at implementing it. Firstly , recalibration , should allow you to swap out both weapon and gear stats to whatever you want relative to that gear or weapon type. I e - assault rifles to assault rifles / boots to boots. Also the stats based on rarity should be taken into account, meaning, if i have a blue weapon, the stats I want to recalibrate should be that of a blue weapon , not purple or epic or legendary. Also , and this is just my opinion. , but I think with increased weapon rarity you should have more stats added to the weapon. As an example , Instead of 2 stats on elite you should have 3 / legendary should be 4. Hell , to make it interesting you can add a quest chain to introduce recalibration and the new crafting system. All of this is just my five cents , and as I have said before the frame work is already there to implement this by way of the loot system and being able to salvage items , this is just the next logical step.
