Please stop with this alpha pack event gambling

I only wanted the Kapkan outfit and headgear from the latest alpha packs, i like Ubisofts skin designs and thought it wouldn't be so bad. I spent about 90k renown, got the headgear, so i thought i would spend a few tokens to get the outfit for the set. I did not get the damn outfit until the very last pack, requiring me to spend about £39 just because i wanted a blue rarity outfit, instead i get all these charms, weapon skins and outfits/headgear which i wont use. This gambling practice is so scummy i can't help but rant about it. Because of bad luck i spent more than i do on elite skins of which i own 4, i have bought each years pass, and this is how they treat their customers, Just trying to wring them dry of every penny they can force them to spend. I love this game, i hate their market team.

    Yes.

This practice of incentivizing us to pay for R6 credits so we can be submitted to the devious random number generator that we have to pay silly amounts on for a chance to spin for the specific items we may want is uncool. Such a carny game tactic.

Not that I'm playing the game anymore, anyway – Ubisoft has already turned me away from Siege with their map removals () – but if was still playing, the only things I could see myself wanting out of this collection are 5 of the headgears, 2 of the charms and maybe frost's shotgun. The rest of this crap would forever go completely unused. Likely having to spend near $60 for 7 items (and you know it'd be damn close to the full amount because all the headgear are legendary rated and those ****ers never drop for me) sure feels like being scammed into buying things I don't want.

This practice is shameful. Ubisoft seemed to be on such a good path back when it was first stated that all operators and maps would be free, and with how all of the cosmetics in the beginning could be purchased ala cart if they required R6 credits... then the loot crate scheme wormed it’s way into a Siege. Barf.

Also I'm not sure whether this practice violates any gambling laws in EU or US states.

I love the Legion set and would gladly pay £10 for it, but I will never take part in this gambling bollox. You are quite literally refusing to take my money.

    100% agreed!!

Myself and EVERYONE I play with will NEVER buy these packs.

We all would much rather pay a little more and CHOOSE what we want rather than gambling on a random drop.
Every event there is atleast 3-4 item I would buy if I could choose....since I cant choose, Ubi dont get a penny from me..

Ubisoft would get a hell of alot more sales from alot more people if they allowed us to choose.....but they dont see it *facepalm*

The problem is - this sleazy scheme WORKS often enough, and fools enough people, that UBI has no incentive to end it. As long as there are gullible people, who will spend the money, UBI will continue this practice.
