Feature Idea: Invade other people's worlds

So I was recently discussing Watch Dogs with a friend and it reminded me of that feature where you could invade another persons game and hack them. I thought a similar feature could work in Breakpoint.

Basically the idea is that as a player you are given a mission or some sort of prompt telling you there is a Wolf Lieutenant, Sentinel Captain or something running around Auroa and you have to take them out. When you accept the mission you are put into another players game but they don't know it. This would further tie into "Being Hunted" vibe that the game was advertised with.

Unless people can opt out, no. That sounds terrible to me.

Don’t like the sound of that for this game. You should try Metal Gear 4

Would never happen in a Tom Clancy game, you can't be the bad guy in them, and the real good guys are always boy scouts

From the player doing the hunting they could be hunting down a Sentinel captain or something while for the player being hunted they could be hunted by a wolf lieutenant. I mean, from a in-universe perspective this already happens in Ghost War where the enemy team are always Wolves (and your team is always Ghosts).

    I personally like this idea.

    It could work if:

    1. Having the option to turn this feature on and off would be great. Annoying for thise that just want to PVE.

    2. The hunter/ hunters have a certain time limit or a limited number of lives when invading you.

    3. Rewards for fighting hunters off or the hunter killing you would need to be substantial to make it exciting/ worth the hassle.

    4. Your whereabouts are loosely illustrated on the map so you could potentially evade the hunters or at least have time to prepare yourself for them.

    5. Perhaps hunters are not seen as friendly by wolves/ sentinel (unknown spec ops faction like the hunters from Division), so invaders have to deal with enemy NPC's as well as you. It also stops it feeling too one-sided and can use NPC's strategically.

    6. Perhaps choppers/ air transport is disabled (drone swarms active) when hunters invade your game. Could make for some intense bike/ car chase sequences. If you can just fly away, it makes the whole encounter boring. If there is some pressure on you to react and use ground transport it adds to the tension/ fun.

    7. Bivouacs are deactivated as safe zones, so you have to either defeat the hunter/ evade them until their time limit runs out.

    8. Map update of your rough whereabouts is delayed so they don't have an unfair advantage in locating you, never allowing for a potential escape.

Any other ideas would be awesome

    Oh and the last thing

    9. The player should be notified, like in dark souls, that you have been invaded. As to a hint which direction the hunters are coming from, I am not sure if leaving that as a mystery adds to the tension/ anticipation. Probably better not to know.

    10. Hunters have 10/ 15 minutes to take you down before they are "removed" from the game.
