I'm a bit "neurotical" with programms that get loaded unwanted when the computer boots, so i always deactivate these as long as they aren't really needed to run the computer properly.Originally Posted by crunc01 Go to original post
So no, that can not be the cause.
Another indicator, that the problem is related to the game itself is, that i have other games installed where saving bigger files don't cause any stutters or freezes.
The best example is Far Cry 2, that (thank god) has the good old quicksave function.
When i use that, it don't affects the game and the saved file has a size of around 1,2 MB.
It would be nice, if you could post the size of your FCND save file later.
It really interests me and i want to compare it with a save from me, that has the same size.
Well done RealArmanIII.Originally Posted by Steve64b Go to original post
But that mod is for FC5 right?
I prefer to play FCND, that i really like a lot, especially because of the ability to level up weapons unlimited and i also like the atmosphere in FCND more than in FC5.
But in the current state it is not play and enjoyable, just because of that autosave bug.
It really is a shame that ubisoft don't cares for that bug.
They at least could give us the option to deactivate the autosave.
The stuttering isn't related to the size of the save.
I know this because I've used FC5 with both nVidia and AMD graphics cards, and with nVidia there was terrible stuttering, but with my AMD card there is no stuttering at all.
Therefore it must be an issue specific to nVidia graphics cards. Because otherwise it would affect both.
@St.Million: That's true, but don't know about nvidia cards only. I tested writting speed to disk here: https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...ave-Stuttering
So, if it is a problem with graphics cards then I don't know why Ubi didn't fix it even in New Dawn...
Also still don't know why the bug doesn't appear right from start of the game. It appears only after some more progress in the game.
If I start new game -> no stuttering. Before last mission and even in NG+ -> the game stutters a lot.
You have to differ 2 things.Originally Posted by St.Million Go to original post
One is the stutters that are related to the hardware.
The other is the stuttering and freezing that is related to the autosave function.
And as xxx times stated in the forums already, the autosave related stuttering and freezing appears only, when you reach a specific progress in the game!
And the only thing that we user can suspect is, that it is the size of the save file, that causes the problem.
I also think that it could be the collecting of the data, that gets written into the save file, that is the problem.
But it definitly is caused by the game itself.
If you really want to help, please continue playing FCND.
I bet everything, that you will experience stutters and freezes too.
Then go discuss it in one of the many other threads about it instead of taking somebody elses off-topic.Originally Posted by RealArmanIII Go to original post

See any stuttering?
Since this game was released I've read many posts about the stuttering and you are the ONLY peson I've ever heard say that it only effects specific points in the game.Originally Posted by RealArmanIII Go to original post
With my nVidia card it stutters constantly, from the beginning and thoughout the whole game, wether it is a regular NG or NG+.
However, when I swap the nVidia card for AMD, there is no stuttering at all. The rest of the system (CPU/HD etc) is exactly the same.
So yes, it's a bug in the game. But it's bug which only affects nvidia GPU's.
