Yeh most likely.. was just hoping they are still tossing around some idea's and would like the idea of a Volcano... after I have seen what they did with the nukes in 5 and some of the atmospherics in ND .. I bet IF they decided to it would be spectacular! that's all! LOL

I have something that they should do!
They should, before doing anything else, make the autosave function deactivateable!!!!

I know a lot of people that won't buy any more ubisoft game, until that da mn autosave function, that causes massive stutters and freezes in FC5 and FCND, is fixed or can be deactivated.

    Let's talk about FCND.
    How far did you progress?
For me it also don't stutters as long as i only play the game to 100% progress.
BUT if i then start to level up my weapons, i get stutters, that evolve to freezes, the more i level them up.

It seems to be caused by the size of the save file or maybe the collecting of the data, before the autosave gets active.

Below is a video that shows the difference between a 68 Kb and 114 Kb (weapons are leveled up) save file.
Focus on the right top area, where you can see the 3 small points appearing, when the autosave is active and see how the game freezes when the 114 Kb file is in use, when the autosave is active.
Serach the FC5 and FCND forums and you'll find a lot of reports about it.

if it is from the size of the save file.. then the problem seems to me like it is not a fast enough machine or under spec'd.. .. not the game itself..
sounds like you need tech support.. that's the other forum.. for all programs and games.. the symptom of a skip or freeze during a save for a game or any program is usually the machines CPU,(too slow) Ram(not enough) or Hard drive.. not enough speed or not enough swap file room) if your machine is at least mid spec I'd get with tech support on it. go to their area and submit a ticket if so

first release of both games id have a small problem with that.. small skipping.. but after a patch a looong time ago.. for me that went away. as I said I have had no troubles with that. so don't know..

Again: What is your progress in the game, did you alreday make the 100% and did you continue playing and level up some weapons, after you did make the 100%?
    I guess no.

And if you would have read postings of the people that reported the problem, you for sure would agree that it is not related to the pc specs of these users.
A lot of them, like me, have i7 processors, ssd drives, rtx2070, rtx2080 or similar amd grafic cards and 16 GB or more of DDR 4 RAM.
It is definitly not a problem that is caused by the users computers, no definitly not.

    BTW my pc specs are
    ASRock Z390 Pro4
    Intel Core i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 8 Core
    16 GB RAM DDR4
    NVidia GeForce RTX 2070 Dual 8192MB DDR6
    2 x 500 GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD

@crunc01: You're joining two different things - game modder IS NOT a hacker or cheater. And sorry, I'm really not a hacker So, if you wrote about hacker, I don't know who you wrote about. Who you are? Some kind of hater, hate other people's work? Btw, I like FC, I bought every FC (and also statues are nice - thanks @Ubi). And I just making the game to be more enjoyable for more players. Do you know that mods can increase selling a game?
    Ah, arguing is unnecessary.

Yes actually.. in 5 I have for the hell of it done 3 times a game plus( 3 on top of each other after finishing each time)... and in ND I have one save game with 100% and all upgraded around 30 times. << I just wanted to see what would happen..
and again no stutter on my end.. though I usually start a new game now from the start as I found those above not challenging enough..

my specs for my machine are..
Asus Z390 Mobo. I-9 9900 clocked a little above 5 gig 32gig ram, 2 Samsung ssd and GTX 1080 Ti 11gig vid ram

so again very strange.. maybe a TSR conflict somewhere?? have you unloaded most tsr's and tried??

Sorry, english is not my native language, so, what do you mean with "TSR"?
And it would interest me how big (Kb) your FCND save file with the upgraded weapons is.

Unforaunately, deactivating the autosave function to fix the stuttering is not in the cards for us from Ubisoft's perspective.

However, thanks to RealArmanIII though, using his Resistance Mod you can actually mod the autosave to counter the hiccups.
