Why is our top of his class Navy seal, such a bumbling idiot?

Alright, so I understand the idea of weighting the controls to give a more human body feel, rather than feeling like a point on a map, but I feel interactions should be more solid. It takes me on average, ten seconds to just get on a ladder, every. single. time. you'd think a trained navy seal, or any competent person, would understand how to use one. We're not talking about weighted controls anymore, this is just plain stupid. If it were me standing next to a ladder, I would already have the forethought that i want to climb it, especially if the button activation isn't particularly used for anything else in that situation. I've been caught numerous times, because my dude here just can't get the concept that i want to climb it. For other matters, the reasoning is the same. the radius' to interact with collectibles and intel are puny and difficult to get in the right spot because of the character's floaty movement. I find myself inching back and forth trying to be in the correct position to obtain whatever I'm after.

Another actual piss off is being behind cover. not only is the elephant seal here too moronic to realize he's sticking out way past the edge of the barrier or whatever he may be taking cover behind, but also changing directions. middle mouse clicking changes the shoulder your 3rd person view is positioned, so why doesn't it work behind cover? You have to tap, or double tap (really inconsistent with the amount) and you end up flinging yourself several feet to one side, just to change the direction you're facing. This is absolutely vital for peek sniping, and picking. If we had the middle mouse flip your harpy seal's face 180* without moving on the x axis much, it would improve stealthing a great bit. Because honestly, I know these enemies are trained militia and ex-seals, but come on, the opportunity to sneak around in person and execute people is so severely limited, the whole class built around it is almost useless. They hear you coming as soon as you get within like 10 feet, leaving you with only one option, some suppressed gun. I know, realism. It's been leaving a good mark on the reviews recently hasn't it?

It's a game. Implement good gameplay too. Remember, this is a supposedly fully trained, expert navy seal. His skills of forethought should be well within the realm of climbing a ladder and hiding behind cover. And I'm not talking about the speed in which he climbs, that's a physical limitation, like climbing over obstacles, that's a very human and realistic feel. What isn't, is the amount of effort put in to input the button. Smooth it out, increase the interaction distance, idk change the button, don't make everything happen with the space bar, E is almost never used, why not both for dialogue and things like that. All i want is ease of controls, they're very unfinished, and need much more attention than visuals. Thanks for your time, i know it may have been a rather long post, I hope I'm not the only one sharing these thoughts.

Haha, my first response to this post would also be "Operator*" not Navy Seal. Second I totally agree on the cover part. I play Division as well and it works wonder in that game to switch sides when in cover so why could they not implement a working system in a game owned and created by the same company?

same company? try the SAME FRANCHISE!!!! in breakpoints predecessor you were able to switch side/shoulders in cover. Once again, and i really dont know how theyve done it with a sequel but theyve actually gone backwards--in sooo many areas not just this!!

Nomad canonically was an Delta operator before switching to ODA 5th SFG, 1BN Delta Company (This is a Hail to the 75th Ranger Reconnaissance that is also part of JSOC and considered Tier 1)
Before being delta is unkown what he was, but Usually Delta Force recruits from: USMC RECON and MARSOC, US ARMY ODA and US ARMY 75th Ranger.

My impression of Nomad is that he’s a boy scout that slapped on a couple patches and calls himself an operator. More like stolen valor in fantasy land.

He stumbles all over the place, he falls or I should say he slides down even the slightest of declines. He’s slid down the stairs a few times on me. He pulls a parachute out of his *** because I definitely don’t see a chute pack attached. He drags his barrel (snr) in the mud when he runs. His night vision is beyond fubar. Often he forgets how to deploy his drone so sometimes it doesn’t deploy but maybe he forgot to charge it at the bivouac, lmao. Oh, and he can’t attach his acog on his asr but he knows how to on his snr. Lmao

And how this have anything to do with the character in question? Lol ... It's bad game mechanics.
In some part, but tripping and slipping, I really challenge you to sprint down some stairs
Or down a hill, you'll be lucky if you slide down, instead of tripping over and landing face first.

Nomad doesn’t even have to run down the hill to slide. Actually if you take your character and sprint down the hill he won’t fall or slide, try it for yourself.
