Ubisoft started this with assassins creed odyssey with removing helmets in cutscenes and my question is, why? Why does my ghost have to remove his bandana while in the middle of a mission when talking to a quest npc or any cutscene? Can we get this back please or an explanation why this was removed?
The simple answer to why your Ghost has to remove their headgear in cut scenes is:
It's an animation, so the fastest way to do them it's without headgear.
Otherwise,
They have to do a video animation for each head gear in the game.
So let's assume 1 animation when you're talking to Mads is 1gb in size and takes 20 hours to complete.
If you're doing one for each head gear,
·30 headgear X 1gb = 30gb
·30heasgear X 20hrs ea. = 600hrs and you have to pay someone, probably multiple someone's to do it.
·Then multiply that by X for however many cutscenes there are in the game.
·Equals a lot of time, data and money.
So it becomes a question of cost and work.
But that's a simple reason why Nomad has no headgear during cut scenes.
How many different shirts, vests, backpacks, pants, uniform colours, hair styles, face types, and scars and blemish combos are there but they cant add helmets, face masks and glasses to it???Originally Posted by Edcrophilia Go to original post
I didn't make the game, only offered a simple explanation.Originally Posted by muzfakil Go to original post
Though, if I may, with all of the other bugs in the game, headgear in cut scenes is what's grinding your gears?
