I haven’t seen anyone touch on this yet. So I’m coming from Xbox and starting fresh in pc new main and everything so I was just wondering wtf is with these outrageous steel prices for the characters. 8,000 steel but on Xbox it’s literally only 400 steel. Please fix this and make the steel prices cheap like on Xbox.

lol? the player base blacked out the devs till we got good steel returns. Take you steel, aim for a few weeks not 'tomorrow'

Pretty sure it depends on the version of the game you bought, for me characters are 8000 but for my friend I know they are cheaper.

The reason why you have to pay 8000 steel is most likely due to the fact you bought the "starter edition".

This edition initially was a lot cheaper than the game, that's why you have to pay more steel to unlock the heroes. It was a pretty neat deal: You got the game for 15$ instead of 60$, but you have to grind more.

Both the starter edition and standard edition have been offered for free on pc several times so you might want to look out for when the standard edition becomes free again.

I'm pretty sure there's no starter edition on PS4 so that's most likely why you're not aware of this either.

On PS4, Xbox One and PC (everything BUT starter edition) every non DLC hero is 500 steel, every Year 1 DLC hero is 10 000 steel and every Wu Lin and Harbinger is 15 000 steel.

I honestly think the characters are pretty cheap. Takes 4-8 days to unlock a character dependent on their cost of doing dailies, which take less than 30 minutes. This isn't like Siege, which takes way longer to acquire a character, in that you need every one. Most people play 2-3 heroes.

There is no starter edition on the PS4.
