Okay, I went to the first link and read some reviews from a people who posted negative rating. Clearly, some of them never played this game:Originally Posted by hoak Go to original post

You can pay for evrything in this game. I can't support this behavior and won't buy breakpoint.
And some more reviewers who clearly hasn't seen this game MTX system and just repeat someone's inaccurate reviews:
A micro-Transaction filled store-front disguised as a Game, speechless tbh...Predatory Micro-Transactions on top of 100 euros special editions!Terrible. This word is the only one that comes to mind. Microtransactions, pay to winAnd gameplay like mobile game. Micro transaction for everything. And so on despite even at launch there was no such things. MTX system was basically the same that Wildlands: you can buy guns/gear or loot them from the map. In Wildlands there was too time-savers in store and even premium weapons for PvP classes. But suddenly, now Wildlands is praised and Breakpoint gets bashed for MTX which is less pay-2-win than it was in Wildlands.Pay-to-win система в полном объеме.
This is why I stopped paying any attention to Metacritic long ago. Many people just listem to their favorite reviewer and go to this site to support him.

SofaJockey, since you clearly have opinions, I suggest you join the discussion, not just throw out opinions with little to none substance. What of the looter-shooter elements do you think make Breakpoint a better game? Does the online-only requirement make the game better, as it slows down starting the game every single time and throws you out on every single error on connection (be it isp, xbox live or ubi servers) and maintenance break?
There is a huge amount of issues plaguing Breakpoint, but you sound like a fanboy who is willing to let them go. I want to understand your position, but you only whine when people point out these problems.
They are listening to Ghost Recon fans, but probably not to mil-sim fans wanting the franchise to be something it's not. Here's your review on Steam @hoak: "a repetitive, kiddie, RPG grind tool for monetising your time". Only, it's not a review of Breakpoint, it's your review of Wildlands.

There is plenty of discussion to be had with the Dev team about specific improvements to Breakpoint, and the direction of the franchise in general, but I don't think Ghost Recon is what you're looking for. There is practically nothing of any intellect or relevance in your caustic cynicism that is useable in a sensible conversation with the Dev team.
Yeah, same people complaining about same thing. I even posted on another thread some quotes from Ghost Recon Future Soldier threads about people complaining that unlocking weapons is bad and that Future Soldier isn't a proper Ghost Recon.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original postProblem is: this haters never talk about real problems of the games. Breakpoint have numerous problems, but, suddenly, haters almost don't talk about them at all.
And yes, devs are listening. At least they heard players about AI teammates and in previous game they implemented a lot of fan's suggestions.
By the way, is there any news about updates upcoming? Because waiting "a couple of weeks" for a new big update is feels kinda wrong in my opinion.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
Doesn't matter where you or anyone goes for their guidance, the bottom line is the vast majority of Ghost Recon fans are not buying Breakpoint, and whether you regard their reasons as irrelevant or not doesn't matter -- they didn't buy...Originally Posted by Wild-Recon Go to original post
You look at all the SofaJockey posts, they're all the same, I think it's a forum ShillBot script, or a very marginal person that we should feel sorry for not try to engage in discussion.Originally Posted by redsept Go to original post

It is not "mil-sim fans" that aren't liking, buying or are returning Breakpoint in record numbers, it is tactical realism fans!
Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon Island Thunder, Ghost Recon Jungle Storm, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, and to a lesser extent Ghost Recon 2 and Wildlands, and Ghost Recon Future Soldier were SQUAD TACTICAL REALISM GAMES. They were not combat simulators, did not compete with games that were attempting that like the Operation Flahspoint, ARMA, VBS, or TitanIM games and had a very different and specific design canon that has been clearly explained on these forms, to you, by me and many others.
STOP LYING, STOP CONFLATING, STOP THE STRAW MAN BS, STOP TROLLING...
BREAKPOINT IS NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM A TACTICAL REALISM GAME, that is why tactical realism fans are not buying it, find this kind of stupid digression annoying, and are understandably disappointed that Ubisoft has gone completely off canon with the franchise.
The issue in this thread is whether or not Ubisoft are listening, because clearly your opening post was to ridicule that prospect. It is not a strawman to let you know that they are, but to genuine Ghost Recon fans and others that are capable of a constructive critique about the franchise without insulting others that disagree with them.
You claim above that Wildlands was, after all, a tactical realism game? Whatever that is. Your view of it sounds exactly the same as your view of Breakpoint as you said of Wildlands at the time that it "has none of the even most basic elements of a tactical realism game". Why would I take your views of Breakpoint seriously when you are so inconsistent.
