    Karambits Need Tweaking

I deployed with a fixed karambit, I am extremely familiar with their use. The entire concept of the weapon is not to display your Krav Maga skills & wrestle around in the grass every time you approach someone for a takedown. Using the karambit in BP is a death sentence since you'll be continually getting shot the entire time. Especially compared to the straight blade knives in BP, the karambit is just tediously & needlessly slow.

Some of these takedowns in the .gif literally take over 10 seconds to complete - by comparison, SC Blacklist uses the karambit as intended, by eliminating the threat as fast as possible & moving on.

The animation where your character is headbutted & you wrestle around with them also plays far too often, I am sick of seeing it.

The very first animation shown takes over 10 seconds to complete.

The others are just boring & sluggish.

There simply needs to be faster kill moves when in combat, that's the bottom line. I would love to use the karambit in-game but I simply cannot because of how ineffective it is.

    100% agree

I love karambits, and I've been training in Filipino martial arts for 6 yrs now so I am familiar with them as well. Some scenes are cool and they are actually what brought me around to getting the game but yeah, they are too long. For the amount of times my dude headbutts someone in the course of a session, he would have a concussion or just be dead from head trauma. I cant stand initiating a cqd in the middle of a populated base and hoping i get the fast animation. Otherwise I'm just getting shot to hell as I'm wrestling with some dude (maybe kinda realistic in some cases, just more variety). Blacklist was on point (pun intended) with this and they looked as bad *** as a take down by a highly trained dude should be.

the karambit animation takes around a second extra to complete over straight blades so it is impossible to get the 2 cqb kills in 3/5 seconds (can't remember which i did it so long ago) for the panther/assault challenges so you have to swap to a straight blade for this which just feels wrong and badly thought out.

I totally agree. The animation is just way too long.

    Totally agree.

Not really a viable option and the straight knives are the obvious choices which is a shame. Sam Fischer animations were spot on in Blacklist.

Would also love some non-lethal animations which are quicker.
