still did not buy the game. i'm still waiting for my pc to finish upgrade. and buy this on sale. a friend of mine pre-order this game. as he said after finishing the main quest he got bored. and told me he should not bought the ultimate edition. now he's complaining xD the ultimate edition is not worth it
^ hahaha...please stop.
gunplay seems ok but enemies take a little more effort to down them
driving is about the same, still slides, still stutters but slightly less
flying is worse, helicopters do weird things when crashing, controls are also worse
you automatically pick up everything so you can start your own garden centre at some point on the island from all the flowers you collect
drones are a pain, hard to hit the small wizzing ones and the ones ones on wheels have lots of health
you can't turn off the red circles that cover you when being targetted by enemy weapons
if you alert one enemy on a base your screen fills up with icons
the world is more empty than wildlands but the vegetation is better so there's that....
the civilains are useless and annoying
you can prone, crouch and walk through various terrain features in places and there are poorly textured areas as well as floating terrain features like snow and vegetation in places
invisible surfaces on the edges of cliffs give the impression you are floating
you can walk up the sides / walls of some structures
you have trouble climbing over simple ledges
slip and slide baby over everything that's not level
you can get stuck in terrain at random or fall through the map
random errors on the title screen like unexpected error
horrible grain effect when looking at some things like snow in some places
my advice to ubi is FINISH and TEST your game.
For the exact same reasons. Wildlands was an experience this is a grind, you shouldn't be grinding a GR game. There would have been a lot to like if they went all out on the story and filled the world with secrets and wonder. I would never take anything away from the world builders it's really not about that but when an NPC can't scale a fence or hop down a ladder there's a problem.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post

I mean I'm having fun but overall the game feels worse from a design cohesion standpoint. It tries to be too many things at once and fails. It felt like the different gameplay systems in Wildlands worked better with eachother.
The best way to describe it is to talk about Splinter Cell... bare with me here.
I love SC (actually started playing through the series again, almost done with SC1). Part of me really wants another Splinter Cell with Ironside voicing Sam again. Sneaking in the shadows, espionage, avoiding a nuclear war just with a pair with NVGs, a silent pistol and a knife.
But another part of me absolutely dreads the thought if it turning into yet another Ubisoft open world game with RPG elements and a s**tton of repetitive busywork. So that part of me is glad SC isn't getting any games.
I feel GR got turned into that. Wildands wasn't bad, it was a game I genuinely enjoyed. But Breakpoint just pushes it too much into that territory already inhabited by Division, Assassin's Creed and Far Cry.
GRB is much better game due to new features (dirt, injuries, player hub, "season pass" dailies, tiered loot, basic craft and gold/minerals hunt) - besides better setting and graphics. Also great architecture and environment/nature sounds.
It's great to see the devs dumped Tier1 and its increasing difficulty + overly challenging daily challenges ("kill the boss in the forest using a car"). Those phased me out of Wildlands.
Myself and my buddies enjoy it even more for different reasons, we don't pvp so no worries there, the graphics are beyond amazing, I haven't seen anything like it, the reason there is gear score is to keep giving you rewards and keep you playing, its game logic 101. The chest respawn and we all know whats in them but we always go for them after clearing a base. I honestly believe the best experience is with 3 friends how you play solo i will never know but in todays nonsocial youths i guess solo is what its all about. The cut scenes are amazing, the daily factions do change areas keeping it interesting and we don't mind doing them. Upgrading weapons will change they will make saves just like cosmetic appearances you save. That honestly is the most annoying thing in game is getting a new weapon and gearing it out they will get presets. The quest line is engaging. choppers are easy to fly, someone complained choppers are horrible i think you need to adjust some settings like we did makes all the difference. Cant wait for the raids and new classes and each act. After you completed the story line in wildlands what did you honestly do? There were no dailies no rewards you had to wait for the challenges to come out which wasn't at launch. Didn't take long for them to get old. I just don't understand all the negativity about this game. We think it is awesome and we keep turning things off as we level to increase the challenge. IE combat clouds since launch now we are turning off map markers of enemy. As far as total reality of weapons and what not i mean come on give them a break, they are fun and most realistic after all it is a game. Enjoy it, get out of your moms basement and make some friends and play this game with them it does make a difference actually socializing (a serious downfall with todays society)
News flash: You can still play games with your friends that don't require a constant online connection.Originally Posted by Steelrain107 Go to original post
Irony: You tell people to 'leave mom's basement' while advocating they continue to play video games. /facepalm
