Do you enjoy breakpoint the same way you did Wildlands?

    Curious.

    Not really..no.

First off is the gear score and the fact that it's so enormously hard to keep on top of things. I wouldn't mind gear score per say, but the UI doesn't even allow for fluid upkeep of inventory. I mean..we are constantly having to go int our inventory to upgrade our stuff..but the UI has the inventory always a few tabs away. Missions are good an all, but wtf isn't inventory one tab away?! Not only that, but you can't just tab 2x and be there..you have to WAIT for the tab to load before you get there. The other thing with inventory is that you always get bumped out after you select something only to have to wast time opening the inventory item again just to manipulate it. It's a horrible UI..and waste more time than it's worth!

Then you have the janky AI that seems to not want to follow the rules of the game. specifically the terrain being different for me and the AI. I can't seem to climb such and such..but the moment I'm spotted the AI seems to have special movement patterns that make them run up a cliff where I couldn't (thinking I was safe from a blind side only to get blind sided).

The world is good, the visuals are good..the weapons and movement are good..but there seems to be a lack of consistancy that creates a void.

It's fun..but all around..it's kinda janky. The pattern of progression is..weird. I can go 80 clicks north and kill everything in sight..while I can't go 20 clicks south without wasting 3 hours of my time getting AI janked. It seems as though there is a 'path' to take other than having fun and wasting time. If I follow the yellow brick road I'm fine, but If I go off the beaten path I'm F'ed for hours.

Na..I think I wasted 60 bucks on this one.

No. There are so many steps backwards with this game.

The world is great, as usual but that's the end of the good stuff.

    Why it's less enjoyable:

    - The enemy AI is dumb (they all take a single path, can't use ladders, don't use throwables, only one guy calls reinforcements, all converge on a down generator, stare at walls, hide when they should be engaging, charge without firing, can't see or hear more than 50m, etc.)
    - The weapon smith is neutered (no barrel, stock or trigger options, limited optics choices, unrealistic trade-offs on grips, can't put suppressors on some variants, etc.)
    - The options for character customization are very limited (esp. camo)
    - The story is thin and the mission structure is terrible (go all over the island to accomplish anything)
    - The tirred loot is invasive and practically useless
    - The drones in the volume provided here are unrealistiic and less enjoyable than human enemies
    - You can't drive 200m without getting in a firefight
    - The world lacks a soul or culture and is full of cardboard NPCs
    - The sliding down hill mechanic is over the top annoying
    - There are other players in my game (in Erewhon)
    - There's no AI team mates
    - The whole premise is ridiculous (lone survivor taking on a drone and PMC army alone)
    - My game crashes at least once per session and I often can't even login due to connection issues with the servers or other errors

    I do,

Despite the fact that some are saying the gear score is bad, I don't really mind it. I can always use the blueprints to keep my gun up to date with my level so I don't have to worry about it that much. Plus this is a lot more immersive for me than Wild lands. Overall, the experience for me in this game has been fun. The only game where I have had that same feeling of wanting to play is Monster Hunter World.

Well..................besides that stuff; it's really good!

Oh wait........................it's not. There's the failure to deliver on real world muzzle velocities, and the ballistic drop/s that would go with them. I have a .45 ACP pistol that deals more damage than my H & K 416.....................in fact my 9mm MP5 does more damage than my 416?? The Mk 14, G28, and SVD (two of which fire the same cartridge, and the other fires a similar one) have a damage spread of 33% between the three of them. Suppressors nerf gun performance by 20%. WTBleep!! There are many weapons crafted to use calibers they aren't chambered for in real life (Honey! Have you seen my laser blaster?!), Virtually all the ARs, DMRs, and SRs are grossly underpowered compared to the pistols and subguns which are OPed. At least I've got a COD signature knife so I can run around and stab everyone.

I don't have anything against arcade guns, ballistics, etc or enjoying them.........but the game could at least feature the REAL DEAL for those who like to play on extreme. Oh yea.............and I really enjoy getting the same guns over and over and over (only with bigger more better stripes on them) because that really fits in with the gritty, realistic, Spec Ops Advisor, tactical game play touted during the run up to release.

But, other than those things................................it's really good!

Zombie, dinosaur, or hamster mode would be cool!
