who plays higher diff. is a huge pain for the team, killing enemies slowly and being downed every few mins.
low settings oneshot even tanks and helicopters.
@ubi, please remove difficulty from coop at all, with a permanent averaged setting for everybody...or make host set difficulty for all teammates.
I'd love no difficulty setting at all, IMHO.
as in sp this game is boring as hell.
I'd rather not subject my friends to a difficulty they aren't comfortable with, so they actually enjoy their time spent playing the game, and that way we all have fun. I'd rather focus on spending time with my friends and having fun than my friends having a miserable time, maybe that's just me but I'd rather be considerate of my friends than focus on myself.

If anything, it should be an optional feature, where the host can set the difficulty globally for the session, however this shouldn't be a forced feature when there are people who I am sure are happy with the difficulty setup in COOP as is.
I played on Arcade early in the story, I don't recall ever one shotting a heli(unless you headshot the pilot, a headshot is a headshot on any difficulty), or one shotting any of the land based drones. It would be much better to play a host-defined difficulty, the same for all players in the game.
Or also a standard difficulty for coop play, averaged on the number of players ingame, so that coop is not divided by difficulty..and like an increased exp-droprate for coop to incentivate coop play
I think it's fine. and here's why,
say your playing with someone new and you are so good at this game that if you put it on easy then you are going to get super bore because it is so easy and the new player is having a blast because it's on their level,
and if you put it on hardest level then your having a blast but the new player is not having fun at all dying every little bit your having to help pick them up so you might as well play solo. that's what it's going to be like. And then new player will not want to play the game or with you.
I think the way it is not needs to stay this way.
remember as you get older you still like to game but sometimes your body,eyes and hands don't move as fast.
I have no problems and never had and I play will ones that have it set on easy and I have mine set harder. I tested this in the testing and the 2 beta and never seen it needed work.
But I am sure they will break it and make over half the ones that love this Game leave. I know my Dad and Niece would stop playing in a squad and I would never join someone if they had it set on easy because I might as well go to sleep.

The easy way to accomplish what hardcore players want is to ask those in your session to raise their difficulty to your hardcore level of play, if they refuse, well kick them, if they are your friend, well you have to decide what's more important, everyone playing up to your expectations or playing with your friends. I'd choose my friends over forcing them to do something they don't want to do everytime without question.
rly, I'm no hardcore...nor a new player.
I'd just love to play, on coop in the sane match, everybody vs the same enemies. At least, tactical play has a meaning, this way.
Want to play easy/normal for making every player ingame have fun? totally agree. Let's set it so.
I'm a player that usually goes a slightly above normal (hard, medium settings in games, sliding to normal if bored. no hc.no pvp. just strategic, but relaxed stealthy approach).
But same game, same enemies, different behaviour/toughness depending on which setting each player has chose...is irrational.
just my opinion, though.
ps: I really like no difficulty setting at all in games, like soulslikes (a bit too difficult, but it's a good challenge)
single difficulty is the best way to balance it optimally, ai and anything. Many sliders bring to too easy...or stupidly difficult. or usually something decent in the middle;
same in AC's.
Perfectly ok that there are no difficulty trophies. But loved the no difficulty setting of older episodes.
again, just my ideas.
