I bought Uplay+ subscription and all the standard heroes (not year 1, 2, or 3) became 500 steel each. I bought them all; Pk, Conq, Lawbringer, Warlord, Beserker, Valk, Orochi, Shugoki and Nobushi. However after my Subscription ended, all was fine. They were all unlocked, customizable and so. Then the halloween event and they all became relocked for a price of 7500 steel.
This also happened to my friend too, who's uplay ign is currently: Buffshinobiplz
I believe this is bull because it clearly wasn't Uplay+ expiring that caused them to relock.
Long story short we want our heroes back.
We paid REAL MONEY for Uplay+
We paid with steel for the heroes
And Ubi goes and relocks them.
Either give us a good explanation or our heroes back.

I'm sorry to hear that you and your friend have experienced this.
I have checked with the For Honor team and they have confirmed that they have received other reports of this today and have reported it to the dev team to investigate.
In the meantime could you and your friend please submit a support ticket then once there is an update Customer Support can contact you via your support ticket.
