The Always Online HAS GOT TO GO!

Currently i am unable to use the Ubisoft product I paid for not because of anything on my end,not because of any problems with my hardware but because Ubisoft is having problems and in its great wisdom it decided that Ghost Recon Breakpoint, unlike ALL PREVIOUS GHOST RECON games, need to have an always online internet connection requirement even when the customer is engaged in single player only.

There is NO EXCUSE for this requirement. We all know its purpose is to combat piracy and to control when customers can play the games they paid for.

Doesn't really make sense to restrict me from playing solo just because my internet is out or the server kicked me off...again.

I definitely agree that this has to change. Internet connection may not always be good and a player may want to just play solo most of the time. I'm sure that this could be fixed easily and while being offline might restrict some things like multiplayer aspects and faction missions availability, that would be okay. I just want to be able to play if there are problems with the servers or with my own internet.

    F@&#ing internet

Honestly I can’t seem to stay logged in to the server for to long because I got shot internet and I live off grid so my internet is about as good as it will get but I’m still on the first mission cause I get booted out all the time. Thanks Ubisoft for selling me this really expensive piece of plastic that I can’t do anything with... I appreciate it

Yeah it's also pretty annoying when I get lag spikes and things like missiles and enemies have lagged in spawns even when I'm playing solo. Ubisoft you really need to make offline play an option! Please get on this, "piracy" is such a bogus and garbage excuse, s*&tty people will find a way regardless, don't punish the people that have actually purchased your game.

Can confirm - have been booted 2 times mysteriously with no obvious fault on my side, very decent 300MBit land line connection.

    Absolutely this!
Was booted twice the other day, just as I was clearing bases. Took ages to get rid of enemies and then SERVER CRASH and have to start over!! I will probably never play online so why I can’t I play 1P offline???? This would also enable quick start when I turn the console off overnight.

QQ for those of you who have replied so far, do you ever have the situation where your commands (either via keyboard/mouse or controller) are not reflected with whats happening in the game? This can happen while in menu navigation (certain commands like SELECT via the SPACE BAR or A button on an XB Controller) or while moving in the open world; your character starts going in circles like as if they are drunk.

I believe this temporary disconnect between the commands you are giving and what is happening in the game are a result of this persistent connection requirement. I believe at least some if not all commands are being checked or verified server side and if it is that would certainly cause these temporary disconnects and it would make it impossible to play the game offline. Make no mistake if this is whats happening its because Ubisoft intentionally designed it this way and not because all or even just some commands have to be server side checked or verified.

If this has happened to yo please share it in this post so the games dev team can see how unacceptable this is. Even though its highly likely this persistent connection requirement was not a decision the devs made they are the ones that we will need to get on our side to get this changed so be constructive with

It's 2019 however most games require you to have internet.

There is no need to go back to 1998 where ofline stuff was a thing
