See above about M4 shotgun and perks. Sure they still come, but now they become target practice.Originally Posted by JHemp12 Go to original post

Solution is mines at doors or entrance of location
Rocket launcher
M82
Arx200 with gl
But also pay attention to the perks your using when I clear a base or any where.
Ballistics perk
Slim fast
And either sensor hack or burst for movement speed
Then when it's time to bawtidabaw switch out the last two for explosive perk and last one can be your choice
Also change the muzzle when it's time to defend to a flash hider and enjoy
I clear the place and before I "interact" and then mine the routes in, have my Tac-50 ready for helos, and clear my guys hot if I'm using them. The mines do the heavy lifting.
I hate these missions too. It's ridiculous how we sneak in and do everything as quietly as possible but magically, here come all these m0fos out of nowhere. Or the insane helo movements. NPC's firing and hitting you when they're augering in. It's funny but dumb.
One good thing about the coming TU, we'll be able to pick-up our unused mines. I love mines. Love to hear that distant explosion. Puts a smile on my face.
If I didn't suck so bad at fire-fight thumb-aiming I'd probably appreciate them overall a lot more myself. But, yeah, mines!Originally Posted by Agent_Ares Go to original post
I like to drop mines randomly on roads which bites me occasionally when I'm doing something quiet only to get lit up by an explosion alert. I also like to drop one on the road out of the base in case the HVT tries to escape on land. That can be satisfying, and he only does that when things have gone to sh*t anyway, so your stealth's not getting blown in that case.
Also, for convoys, two mines and two well-placed bullets are all you need, with no damage to the albeit low-grade cargo. If you get the gap right since the third vehicle stops, you can use C4 instead of bullets. But I digress.
