Of course it makes a difference, if you insist on 1 primary then it's going to be very slow, the only way to up your score is to take on the higher wolves camps and behemoths, as they will drop higher.

It's because it's always divided by 8

Yeah we use the preset loophole to play story missions with one primary. When I want to grind gear I change to another preset with two primaries. Playing with only a single primary you will cap out at around GS 50.
