Xbox One X Bad Control Response?

So one thing that really pees me off about this game is that sometimes you have to press the button combinations several times for them to register. Marking for drone syncshot, sliding down ladders, enabling True Grit to name a few. It’s like the game is having problems reading the controller.

Now before anyone says it is my controller, I don’t have ANY problems like this in other games... when I mark for sync shot in Wildlands it’s instantaneous. Works every time perfectly... The controls in that game respond perfectly. In Breakpoint though... it’s like shouting at a hard of hearing grandpa... sometimes it works, other times nothing happens. I just died because I couldn’t trigger True Grit after pressing both bumpers numerous times.

    who else sees this?

I have had the same experience, I seem to always be fighting the controls instead of them being fluid. This game makes me abuse my controller, especially with dismantling YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA LOL

It behaves like my old PC did before I upgraded. Game plays but doesn’t play fluid. I keep comparing this to Wildlands but that game you were fighting the enemy, not the controls. This game you end up fighting both. I had one instance where it looked like my character was having an epileptic fit rather than reload his weapon. There were a lot of enemies around me at that point but I was behind cover... it’s got to be the Xbox One X needing more power or the game needing more optimisation. Hmmmm... going to switch my Xbox to force 1080p.... see if that helps.

Nope... was already set to 1080p. Going to see if 1440p makes it worse. Strange thing is that my monitor is now not being registered as a 4K tv.... weird.

I bet by the time this relaunches on the next gen it will be well polished and a fantastic game.

Crazy thing is that I’m enjoying playing when the game works. Yeah I hate the interface mess that we got but the discovery mode is pretty enjoyable. If they had made the interface more intuitive and hadn’t split presets all over the place and tightened up the controls A LOT, well then I think it’s one of the more enjoyable ghost Recon games.

oh and added some NPC AI... its “find chokepoint, make noise, shoot the single line suicide Congo line.

its ironic that a game about AI enemies should have included actual AI into the game lol. Even the NPCs are screwed up. They can be insulting you or whimpering in fear, you ask them a question and it’s “Oh hello neighbour...yes I can help you find the XYZ... in a really nice and friendly manner... and once finished they are back to whiney mcwhineface or alternatively, Mr Insulty”YOUAREINMYSPACE”face. There is no consistency across the whole design.

Yes, I'm actually blown away at some of the detail that was put into exploration mode with the documents and photos and clues, it's just a shame that there's still so much hand holding that it does not quite push it over the edge. The game is like 95% playable with no hud but there's missing support elements that would make it truly enjoyable. It's funny I keep wanting to believe the AI in this game is set at 0 and they programmed it as a self learning AI system lmao wouldn't that be creepy.
