    Temporary Bivouac Idea

The bivs are a super fun mechanic in the game. Camping, crafting, all that good stuff. However, there are a TON of unique locations in this game that have gone through painstaking hand-crafted efforts, & I believe they go unused to their full potential beyond decorations. Abandoned buildings, homesteader camps & forts, Skell locations, beautiful scenery locations in the wilderness. It would be amazing if we could set up temporary bivouacs in any location of our choice with limited options so we can immerse ourselves even more when we come across such places.

A temporary bivvy would simply include things like a campfire & a tent with basic survival needs like cookware, sleeping bag, etc.

Within the temp biv you have limited options compared to a permanent one.

    • They cannot be fast traveled to or saved, & are packed up upon breaking camp.
    • You have access to Tactics, Crafting, & Preparations.
    • You do not have access to the Shop or Garage.
    • You can choose which time you'd like to break camp.
    • You cannot call squad mates in coop, but if they are near, they can join you at the temporary bivouac.

In this way we can biv it up at any anywhere so long as it is not too close to any enemy compounds. Gotta get a biv check when we need it!

Find a sweet abandoned inn from decades ago? Biv check.

Come across a beautiful ridgeline in the forest with a view of the beach? Bivvy time.

Want to take advantage of an old homesteaders fort that already has gardens & cover? Bivvy bivvy. Get that biv up. Time to biv.

The world in Breakpoint is absolutely gorgeous & many other players including myself have expressed their support for the idea of a temporary biv with limited options that would allow us to enjoy these locations at an even deeper level.
