I have been a long time supporter and player of Ubisoft Games. I have been playing this game again for a few weeks after leaving it for a year or so. That being said I have noticed a serious problem with pay to win in this game. With this recent event "Heavy Metal Challenge" I played 3 games this morning and got blown away all 3 games not even close total blow out these players are not even in my league. So I lost 3 games to players with characters 2-4 levels above me my lvl 3 vs their 5's tons of custom cards. Now to continue on you require "$50" cash so I cant even play it with out paying. THIS IS BULL ****!! This is the biggest money grab game I have ever seen. You should be embarrassed. This game needs to be overhalled to at least give F2P players a fighting chance. And please dont make your events pay for play.

In challenge mode, cards are capped at specific levels. Commons are at level 4, rares at level 3, epics at level 2 and legendary cards at level 1, so I don't think you faced anyone with a level 5 card.
With that being said, you do need to upgrade your cards to those levels, if you are hoping to compete. In Challenge mode, the first run is always free and runs after that do cost 50 Cartman cash. If you're an active player, you can earn much more than 50 cash per week, so F2P players can easily play challenge mode several times a week, just by completing weekend events.
