This game needs pick and ban.

The reality is a character will never be properly tuned for both 1v1s and 4v4s. I like to do 1v1s. In the current state of 1v1, the Lawbringer is brutally overpowered. Highest health pool in game, 50 damage light parry punish, a bash with nearly no punish, and a fast top light. He may not be broken in 4v4s, but he's nearly impossible to kill in 1v1s if the player is proficient.

At this point, his only counter is to parry his heavies, which is really risky. In my past ranked games he's accounted for 33% of my matches, with the raider accounting for another 20%.

Nowadays I have a lot more fun in 1v1s since I'll just leave if someone plays Raider or Lawbringer, but this really isn't fair to them either. It would be better if we just had pick and ban to remove a character from play if they're in a bad place.

By the way, I'm like a high plat player or so? I'm not the greatest, but, I'm not abysmal with little experience in the game.

Lawbringer is not that viable while offensive just like Conq and Jorm so he relies on turtling. You should play mindgames and feint a lot. He is not overpowered tho. His 55 light parry punish is quite excessive and encourages turtling. I wish they would give a rework to make him more offensive...
According to the win loss matrix for last season in plat and above he was the fourth most winning character in the game, so I'd argue that yes, he's quite overpowered.

In Duels? That seems problematic if I want to get practice with a hero that my opponent is not a fan of.

I think in objective modes it might be nice.
    There are two sides.
    1. People quiting because they can't play their hero.... Valid point
    2. The game suffering from over picked heros...also a valid point.

So one is dependent on the individuals experience and the other on the entire game experience.

However there are enough op heros in the heavy and vanguard classes to cancel out trying to save the gaming experience if single pick was only implemented. So a class pick would have to be implemented to create a better overall gaming experience at the expense of even more individuals due to the thicker filter on personal preference.

So in short nothing can be done to satisfy everyone without a majority suffering so nothing should be done.

Just so we a clear I'm for the implementation because it wouldn't effect me personally negatively. In fact it would create a more positive experience for me. however I understand it would damage the overall experience as a whole to others so I'm against it. Meaning I understand I'm in the minority.

Echo mains are crying everywhere in Rainbow Six Siege, but it was for the best to introduce pick and ban. In breach, the team with the Jiang Jun is almost always going to win, as corroborated by the metrics for last season.

We had a character with a 63 win rate and another character with a 39. That's a MASSIVE gap. In Siege, the chart only goes +-3% and even then, a character at +3% is considered so brutally overpowered that it must be nerfed immediately. Why play with any other character when you have one that almost guarantees you'll win? Raider having a 15.5% pick rate across the top 4% of Breach players in a game with over 20 characters is absolutely insane.

For the record, I'm suggesting single pick. One character per team or player if in duels.

    I’m casual? No

    I’m ranked 1v1? Also no

In ranked 4v4 (if we ever get that back)? Yes

It makes no sense to have it in ranked matches... Cuz they are ranked. Which means you fight people based on your skill and their skill with a hero no matter who that hero is. It makes more sense to have it in casual than ranked.
