I was a fan of The Division 2 player movement. The cover system and camera should be implemented here immediately in the next patch. This camera in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is not good and takes away from the overall experience of stealth. I feel as if my character is on a hover board and the camera can't keep up.
Immediately after this thread I went and watched 3 gameplay videos on the division 2, the movement's are completely arcadey, the character full of weight and gear on his back is able to easily Jump forward and do a perfect roll, how he manages to do everything so easily and weightless...
this goes in a complete opposite direction of what most people are requesting for a more realistic feedback on character movement.
Division movement would not suit this game. As Argimon mentioned its too arcadey and the world is not built for it. Everything in Division is pretty much squared and built around the cover shooter concept. Wildlands had a better system and Breakpoint builds on that but they just have to make it a bit more responsive.
You should play Division 2 instead of watching gameplay, then you'll understand what I mean. Not worried about the rolls and diving aspect. Division 2 felt more grounded and made better use of the player movement with the camera and objects on the map. You can't move the camera to peek around a corner without your Ghost moving as well. God forbid if you are in a corner and the camera just looks at whatever..
