Customization
I have 3 very simple point I'd like to forward about customization in ghost recon breakpoint.
1. Why are all the wearable items colored schemed like a toy soldier? If i wear jeans they can't even be jeans colored because the only way to wear them is to chose a color, and that color is solid.
Why would i want to wear jeans if they are more like a pair of chinos than jeans because i can't have jeans color on them.
Even the icon for the item features jeans color so why not the actual item? Even wildlands managed this so it can't be a graphical limitation.
And further more why in the world would i want my holster and knee pad to be literally the exact same color like all the rest of the pants?
Is this supposed to be a toy soldier simulator?
The only items in the game that aren't like this are the store exclusive items and the starting outfit. Which technically are store exclusive too since its just the same items as the Nomad figure or whatever they are called.
And still the items that are in the game aren't even that many so i don't see why they would have to be so simple.
2. With more and more games embracing full weapon customization, even COD with its new impresive "gunsmith". Why in the world would your move be to cut of half of your gunsmith that literally made gun customization what it is today?
Sure the new versions of guns are a good way to enable variety to the separate guns but it just feels hollowed and out dated to the way games are evolving. Why not just have stats put to the barrels and stocks? Take the Uplay exclusive g36c dmr version, this could have been a pack of a stock and a barrel that enables the same stats as the weapon does, but if you just wanted that dmr damage output you could have stuck with the barrel or if you wanted the accuracy you could have gone with the stock.
Ghost recon games of the past and army of two were the best weapon customization there ever was, and with army of two not having a presence anymore you could have taken the customization further with cool unique combinations like army of two introduced with combinations of things like a m4 stock on a g36 that just really let you personalize how your gun looks and how it plays.
Swapping out rail attachments, scopes or silencers are all just options best implemented as in Crysis or homefront. Where you are able to swap them out mid fire fight, where as a gunsmith is made as a well gunsmith where you smith your weapon not just add a pice that literally anyone can do on the go.
I just feel like you've given up on customization which is what made ghost recon great in the first place and somehow felt that it was a good idea to turn your game into another ghost recon phantoms that flopped so hard even as a free to play game, how did you think implementing figures and bad gunsmith into one of the core games was a good idea? I am sure we all know you can do so much better than this ubisoft.
